To be clear, I’m 100% fine joining a campaign mission if someone has selected it.
The issue is that me and my mate are quickplaying into empty lobbies with campaign missions selected. Constantly. As in it happens like 5 or 6 times in a row for the same map, even when we’ve both finished the campaign. This is happening even on damnation and auric difficulties.
Again, totally fine helping people who intentionally pick the mission. But if you’ve done the campaign and there isn’t someone picking the map we shouldn’t be quickplaying into it.
I’ve started selecting missions directly now but I would rather see this addressed.
I honestly think they just shouldn’t put you in campaign missions if you elected to skip the campaign. Fine if others want to play it, but if you skip it, you did so for a reason.
It would be even better if the mission board had an enable/disable function for this. And while you’re at it, add the same for maelstrom missions (which as far as I can tell you still can’t quickplay into, and I’d love it if you could).
I’d think a toggle is the best option here, that and making a separate campaign map for the missions in order so players can select them for replay specifically. Let people who’ve finished the campaign turn it off and make it accessible to people who want it turned on.
Much agree, I do wonder if this is also half the reason Auric feels as ‘empty’ as it does most of the time.
AS you say, if someone is doing the campaign and I get autofilled with them, fine, they deserve to have a team and I’ll help them out. But they shouldn’t be ‘choosen for me’, or probably shouldn’t even be on the mission board at all if you aren’t actively doing the campaign (besides the Karnak Twins at least, since the campaign is the only way they show up). When I do quickplay it’s to quickplay into a mission with modifiers, and maybe help someone do a mission if they are actively doing it, not to play a random campaign mission I did/skipped ‘just cause’ XD.
