Enemy Mechanics

In the path of Redemption Update it was mentioned that “Removed possibility to spawn big packs of Bulwarks as patrols, reduced amount that can spawn simultaneously as roamers.” well this still happen very often in Auric Damnation and Mealstroms and im not saying 1 or 2 Bulwarks, there were multiple times that were like 4-6 Bulwarks so i beliebe yall can imagine how annoying and unfair that is, specialy with a trapper, flamer or other elites behind them.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Just Play Auric and Embrace the “individuals” bulwarks

Reproduction Rate (Required):

Often (<75%)

Platform (Required):

Xbox

I see this as a feature, not a bug. I love how Crushers and Maulers demand at least some of your attention, while pressuring your team to dance with em. I don’t really consider it a bug unless the game spawns them on top of the team right as they drop down into an enclosed space.

That said, if it it’s in the patch notes, then they should fix the big patrols. Much to my sadness.

There are patrols of 4 bulwarks and sometimes ambient bulwarks. A horde or general aggro could pull 4-6. I believe this is an intended number.

Bruh my point is, it is a bug that they supposedly fixed but actually no, i bet you love Silent Crushers and maulers when they one shot you from behind right? Lol

They are spawning not being pulled bc of a horde or something else

if you had finished reading my comment, you woulda saw…

This is specifically talking about Bulwarks. I enjoy fighting packs of melee elites, except for Bulwarks.

Here is the quote.

They are supposed to spawn in smaller packs so their shields don’t clip as much and to compensate for the health change and increased stagger resistance.

They are in general an unfun enemy to fight, doubly so in groups. While I would appreciate a soft rework of them having there be less of them would be a step in the right direction.

I don’t disagree at all.
I realize I adhd’d the word bulwark in my first response. My bad. Its supposed to include crushers maulers and bulwarks.
The forcefield is the most annoying to me, personally. Getting a bit of elevation on em and not being able to shoot their heads even though I can clearly see their heads is super annoying. That hitbox absolutely needs to be bound to the dimensions of the shield itself. That fix alone will make groups far more tolerable.

I did and that’s why i said “i bet you love silent crushers” because you argued that you see as a feature because it requires your alies actually do something (although you mentioned crushers and maulers which i didn’t mentioned because its not a bug or unfair as much as a pack of 6 Bulwarks out pf nowhere clipping into eachother and stuff behind them like a trapper, dog, flamer or any other elite) so if a Bulwarks you consider a feature because it requires attention of your teammates(and you said: “much to sadness”) i could use the same argument to every bs of silent specials this game keeps throwing at everyone that has been happening for a year(according to my friend) and yet i haven’t seen a single comment in the patch notes or idk at least something other than “acknowledged”

Silent enemies are an entirely different problem related to the sound engine and how it prioritizes sounds across channels.
They’ve bandaided it several times and it’s MUCH better than it used to be, but it is still a problem. I can’t say I know of anyone who finds silent enemies anything but egregious. I don’t know why you’re trying to insult me with that?

In my most recent comment, I said I realized I adhd’s the word bulwark entirely and that was my bad. However my point remains the same: bulwarks, crushers, and maulers are all made to disrupt your cleaving through poxers and scabs gameplay, requiring special attention. It’s part of the push and pull of Tide games that I quite enjoy. If bulwarks particularly are giving you trouble, I’d suggest waiting for them to do that big overhead swing, dodging left, then hitting them. That’s a foolproof way of getting around their shields. When it’s a bunch of them, kite them and use barrels until you get an opportunity to backstab them. Or you can just ignore them. They are slow, and don’t do much damage compared to other threats on the field. They’re like Monstrosities in that they’re there more to distract you and get you killed, than they are there to kill you.

And again, as I said before, if they said they’ve fixed bulk spawns of bulwarks, but the fix isn’t working, that’s bad… I don’t think it’s a problem, personally, I like bulwark packs as much as I like crusher and mauler packs, but it’s not up to me. If they said they removed bulk bulwarks, and they haven’t that’s a problem.

in your first post, you said fatshark had mentioned it for the unlocked and loaded update, but now you’re saying they haven’t? I’m confused.

So i said in path of redemption update, im not insulting you man wth im just arguing with you nothing personal, omg are you really doing a tutorial on how to deal with Bulwarks? lmao thats not a problem the problem is that spawning like 6 on your face and with other special enemies behind them + they overlapping into each other which kinda makes a bit annoying especially because it shoudnt be a thing in the first place bc they “fixed” right?. Ok now that you said this “They’ve bandaided it several times and it’s MUCH better than it used to be” im out of words like are we playing the same game? theres absolutely no way me and my friend are the only ones getting silent specials every match and it got worse with recent updates, anyway i guess it is what it is at this point.

Bandaid doesn’t mean fixed lol. You are definitely not the only one getting silent specials. Just the other day I had a maelstrom shock troop run killed by a pack of silent trappers and bursters. Just instant squad wipe without any defense because the only sound that played from them was the trapper net launch… but it’s not as bad as it used to be. At launch and the months that followed, it was WAY worse.

Silent specials, glitching through terrain objects and just running straight through closed doors. Still feels like Oct 23’
