Blackscreen upon approach Vigil Station Oblivium bridge

Issue Description:
blackscreen requiring hardware restart when approaching the far side of Vigil Station Oblivium. Has only occured on upgraded PC hardware (upgraded from 1060 6gb and i5 9400f to AMD sapphire 7800xt and i5 12400f). I have followed steps to prevent crashes and it still occurs on all difficulties and with any of the graphical settings I used. Notable is the fact that the blackscreen does not occur when approaching the bridge from the other side in the Silo Cluster 18-66/a mission.

Have your old NVIDIA drivers been uninstalled since your upgrade?

They have, along with all extraneous nvidia software.

Hm, are there any errors in your Windows Event Viewer (‘Event Viewer’ → ‘Windows Logs’ → ‘System’) that corresponds with when this has occurred?

the only error that coincides with it even slightly (and occurs at other times throughout the log without this issue happening) is an issue reading

‘The server Windows.Gaming.GameBar.PresenceServer.Internal.PresenceWriter did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.’

Which occurs roughly within two minutes of the blackscreen but never the exact time.

The issue continues with the same error message post-update.

I’ve also tried steps found elsewhere to eliminate the error in the event viewer with no luck, it still happens 100% of the time on Vigil Station Oblivium

On researching this error it seems to correspond with a recent Windows update. Is this something you’ve already looked in to?

It is- I’ve uninstalled the relevant windows update which causes the error, and also tried disabling the PresenceWriter via the registry in order to prevent the issue from occuring in the first place.
