Instead just have the horde mode have one map inside a fortification and make a ranged build ?

Don’t think of it as replacing the whole of darktide. Think of it as a minigame.

But that type of game play can really be done by picking a Veteran and then prioritising ranged weapon instead of melee

Do you really not see the difference between bunker defense/shooting gallery and regular missions?

When you say bunker defense do you mean it like the enemy stay outside or do you mean something like the old CoD Zombie where you’re inside a batiment where you have enemies trying to breach in and all ?

Could go either way, though I was originally mostly thinking of being the guy on the tower in tower defense. Sort of a relaxing way to work on your marksmanship between missions. Meatgrinder with moving targets and terrain.

Again, not suppose to replace the regular missions, just a minigame, maybe with a score and a theme.

Since then I’ve seen how much content actually is added and I’ve given up all hope of minigames.

Then you either havent played the survival mode in MW3 or you really dont know what fun is.

You almost described Killing Floor 2, except endless waves.

I mean yeah, that’s what is in part inspiring it, with in equal parts CoD’s Zombie, GoW’s Horde…

Out of interest, why do you think players shouldn’t be able to heal the bot allies?

I think the concern is one of resource management. People often complain of bots using medicae charges during missions for example.

so like defense from warframe,

theirs a wave then a small window to relax(10-20 seconds) then another wave.
and every 5th wave your commanders give you a chance to leave. or stay for better loot.

in warframe you keep the loot per round,
here it could be a new weapon, new curio, a crate of resources, the rare 10 agillias?

BOT allies could be an objectif to protect ! Player who succed to not lose every of them should be rewarded ! Like a sort of secondary objectif

If this happens, I’d really like to see actual fortifications we can use as cover, not just an objective out where it can get hit and little cover.

When you say “use as cover”, do you mean as in jumping to cover like like in GoW or simply fighting from a position where we have fortifications (Kinda like Magistrati Oubliette in torrent which has the small fortified wall before the gate) that the enemy are trying to break through ?

And which works with how tall we are, unlike the standing shields we see in some maps with a shooting port but which isn’t at a usable level.
