I know a person who worked for a literal sociopath at a farmaceutical company. This person accumulated years of employee complaints, about a decades worth. They went through employees fast, who succumbed to stress, depression, anxiety etc. etc. What happened? The person was promoted. Department output was up. That’s what matters most to the people on top. This only ever becomes a problem if there are not enough new people to hire to replace the ones you lose, or if word spreads and bad PR starts affecting profits.

Sad anecdote. My first significant professional experience was being on the sidelines while the veterans on my team took a C-suite executive out for lunch to complain and the next week my manager was relegated to a solo team and worked out of the company.
Individual complaints don’t do much but collective action forms unions occasionally. Getting a genuinely bad leader moved or worked out is trivial by comparison.

Kudos to the newly hired marketing exec who refined their com strategy, and the marketing manager who approved this post.
I used to work in a PR agency for video games in the past, representing AAA games like the old Batman games and I mean it:
Fartshark truly ticks all the boxes of the compass indicating south in terms of customer service, PR and project management.
I hope a marketing teacher catches these examples to integrate them into a class of 101 PR “not to do”.

A whimsical post trying to create a fun community post from the staff is fun. I don’t care for it, but I can see how it can be good community building.
But that only works if you actually do literally anything the players care about before and after it.

You know what it truly shows?
The fact that FS lives in a silo, in a safe space echo chamber bubble where “everything is awesome”, where KPI and deliverables don’t knock at your door, challenging talents to reinvent and stay at their top level.
I doubt they have a meritocratic path to promote valuable employees. I would bet an arm they are extremely political and cult like in their approach to hire, promote and retain talents.
Has anyone explored their Glassdoor page lately?

The opinions of the leadership continue to be ‘any negative feedback is nothing in comparison to the Silent Majority That Is Totally There’ and this only changes with hard metrics like Steam reviews dropping to Mixed, at which point they panic to try and allay concerns.

We didn’t even get the chance to be the baddies during this tenure. At least, not with anything I saw here or on Reddit.
I think uni is just the left side of this picture for kitefin, like a better job was for strawhat; she deserved better anyway.
