Audio cutting in an out constantly during gameplay

my game audio keeps cutting in and out when things get intense, or at times just at random, even in menus. other users have reported this issue, but ive had it for over a hundred hours and never managed to find a fix for it. i have no mods that can cause this, and it has always happened even before i started modding my game. this isnt something that happens occasionaly, its every game, constantly, and ive had enough of it. tried to change audio channels, no fix.

if i have to give any other info, when i screen share on discord or clip gameplay, nobody can hear the audio cutting, its just me.

I play with no mods whatsoever and experience this as well. The audio will begin to stutter and the game will freeze momentarily; it’s possible that the issue is less that the audio is buggy and more that the game is having general performance issues, but it’s only begun happening in the last month or so.
