Arbitrator talent “Razor-Jaw Augment” is not affected by player buffs, and does not trigger the talent “Up Close”.
Steps to Reproduce (Required):
Equip weapons with blessings that affect damage over time effects. Alternatively trigger talents that increase your damage. Sic Cyber-Mastiff on elites/specialists and let the bleeding damage and kill them while you are standing right next to them.
Damage over time effects are usually affected by buffs and blessings that affect “strength” and general player damage. Razor-Jaw Augment is the only DoT i know of that is not affected by buffs and blessings. Even Voltaic Mandibles Augment is affected by buffs and blessings, and that talent is similar to Razor-Jaw Augment in the sense that it is applied by the Cyber-Mastiff.
This makes Razor-Jaw Augment an outlier, and i therefore assume it to be a bug.
Another peculiarity is that neither Razor-Jaw Augment nor Voltaic Mandibles Augment trigger the talent “Up Close”. They do however trigger other “on kill” talents like “Target Neutralised” and “No Escape”.
Seems like a bug, if you’re using bleed for boss damage and have a bleed dog on the team you have to rush to get that initial bleed hit (which may be hard for ogryn) or you’ll be stuck with a very weak bleed on the boss that can’t be overwritten.
They should just have it count as a bleed triggered by the arbitrator so it benefits from the player’s buffs and equipment but not the huge buffs that can be given to the dog.
It’s odd that Razor-Jaw Augment is only affected by buffs that increase Cyber-Mastiff’s damage, and Voltaic Mandibles Augment is only affected by buffs that increase the player’s damage.
