Aquilas and Emperor's Gift

I feel like there should be a way to earn aquilas in game.
Part of the reason Warframe was always a fun and engaging was that you can grind to get premium currency and buy from the cashshop if you wanted to.
even though much of that is from selling loot to players, it’s still possible.

So I was thinking, part of the fun with games like Overwatch and Guild Wars 2, as well with Vermintide, was you still got something for leveling up, the loot boxes.

You’ve already got the mechanic in game as Emperor’s Gift, you should simply just increase the range of what the Emperor’s Gift can reward you and always reward one at post 30 level ups.
Then change what it rewards into a chance of loot, money, crafting resources and than rare loot should be either Aquilas or a random skin/outfit from the cash shop for that class.

Simply ignoring experience post 30 is a lost opportunity since we all wanna be rewarded for playing and experience is the best way.

Another way is going Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, where they used in-game currency to purchase lootboxes in order to slowly upgrade. So using Emperor’s Gift again you might allow us to purchase a Gift at 50-100k in-game currency or something. This would also encourage playing at higher difficulty to gain currency quicker.

100% agree that Aquilas should be earnable even if only in small amounts. I also believe they should be attached to Melk’s missions. Even just getting 30-50 per weekly mission across 25 missions would be nice. Lowballing it at 30. That would be 750 Aquilas per week.

Screw it, drop it down to 20 Aquilas per weekly mission completed and you’ve got 500 Aquilas per week if someone put in the grind to knock out 25 missions every week.

It was stated that we were going to be able to earn them in game.

But then they edited the post saying that shortly before launch because predatory money greed.
