Make Aquilas earnable or Premium Cosmetics unlockable

Look, let’s be real, the game is a disaster of gacha mechanics outside of a wonderfully satisfying combat loop. It’s why I uninstalled - couldn’t take the RNG anymore.

The irony is, if the game gave me something to work towards steadily, I’d still be playing.

Hence my proposal here.

Either make Aquilas earnable, or make the Premium Cosmetics unlockable.

See, the thing about premium drip is that, usually, it’s mixed in with ways to earn it without whipping out your credit card, so that you can look cool by people not knowing whether you got it through skill or not.

Making Aquilas earnable - either through contract completion, mission stats, or some other element - or making the premium cosmetics unlockable through incredibly difficult/grindy penances would actually keep people around. It’d be a clearly defined goal with set expectations, and you’d look fantastic at the end - and it wouldn’t be the disappointment sink that, say, blowing a thousand plasteel trying to get a specific perk or having to download a mod to reroll a thousand times because some Fatshark dev thought Vegas was the peak of his life experience currently is.

Could be a new NPC who give us especialy hard weekly contracts like :

  • win 8 damnation mission consecutively
  • kill 10 elites in 10 seconds
    or anything like that !
The reward could be 100 or less aquila / week so it would motivate player to play more in order to earn aquila ! Those who want to have premium cosmetics faster or to not miss specific cosmetic during shop rotation would buy premium currency !

You know that is not a terrible idea at all.

I’m really running out of things to do:

  • I’m close to a 1k missions in the game, so the maps start to get boring.
  • I have all penances unlocked that I wished to unlock (250 of each mission type for frames are not a motivation, and I refuse to even try Just A Flesh Wound ).
  • I have all the weapons I want to use, and the crafting system is such I’ve given up experimenting.
  • Most of the “normal cosmetics” are recolors I don’t like, so no reason to farm to unlock them. the ones I liked I bought already.
  • All my friends left the game so I don’t even have a game night to look forward to.

So yeah, I feel less and less urge to play. But farming Aquilas could keep me going for a while I think. I mean I bought quite a few premium stuff so far, but since I feel less inclined to start the game I feel even less inclined to open my wallet again.

It doesn’t have to be much. I’d say 150-200 a week in total is a good, ppl could buy at least 1 headdress(cheap)/trinket each cosmetic cycle with that, or a few generic weapon skins.

(I would say 350 is better since rotation is such that every set is available for 6 weeks (3 pages X 2 week cycle) so if some1 sees a set they really like they can farm the amount to get it just before it is rotated out. But given how Melk operates I don’t expect anything like this from FS. :stuck_out_tongue: )

This would never happen. They’re working with Tencent. That would be seen as throwing money out the window.

They do it with Vermintide 2, they have really premium cosmetics come as DLC, others can be purchased from earnable V2 aquillas

premium cosmetic are paying only, the other cosmetic that can be bougth with aquila are more like the commandanture skins.

I would like something like 25 aquila for seven (not consecutive day) where you played at least one mission for example.
