Application start up crash

Issue Description: At random the game will crash when trying to boot up from the application starting window.
(This could possibly be apart of the back error chain of reports)

Steps to Reproduce: Start up the game, go to the application start menu to start up game and wait to see if it crashes.

Platform: Steam

Steam ID: 76561199007135663

Reproduction Rate: it’s rare for this bug to occur.

Appears to be a Deadlock crash, which are a little notorious to identify the cause of.

If this is a regular occurrence, then I recommend to perform a Selective Startup, which help identify whether a background application is the cause of your error:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC

If the error no longer occurs after having performed the Selective Startup, try re-introducing your programs one-by-one to determine which is causing your issue.

Hello, I have a question about a bug report I made earlier

It seems to mimic what this post was about but instead of it crashing and closing, the application becomes unresponsive and then suddenly changes icons (for the application)

Are these two events part of the same issue or two separate issues?

It’s hard to say off the bat, but there may be some correlation between them.

So after further testing the issue occurs after a start up with nothing enabled to it, but it still only occurs after a initial start up, and doesn’t crash regularly (however sometimes it does tend to become unresponsive, but then fixes itself) , however the icon change does still occur.

could this be a pc issue? and is there anything I can try?

This is still ongoing after 1.0.7

Goes to the EAC splash then I see a black screen appear then immediately dissapear.

Uninstalling Epic Games Launcher (Which isn’t great, since I now have to choose between Satisfactory, and playing this) fixes this problem.

Please fix this asap as I’d like to not have to pick between two games.

I have a question, as dumb as this sounds, have you tried reinstalling the game?
Cause while it the application still does freeze and become unresponsive and application icons change, It doesn’t hard crash when starting up for me much anymore, i’m gonna see if uninstalling and reinstalling will fix this issue
