They did give a reason:
They’re saying they decided against solo mode because it’s a co-op game. Now you and me both know it’s a trash reason that doesn’t amount to anything, but it’s the reason they’re going with and our disagreement is subjective. Not sure if asking again would change the reasoning.
I’m not trying to say your frustrations aren’t justified but idk. At this point we have to accept Fatshark just lies and corpospeaks. I think that’s the real issue, not a lack of comms: it’s that the comms are obvious horseshit, blatantly spitting in the face of the promises they made.
There’s other examples of this: “Aquilas totally were only sold in these bundles by mistake, we’ll let you buy a bundle that lets you buy without leftovers!” did it ever come to pass? No.
“The store is rotating because we think too many items at once would be confusing to browse”
there’s more but it makes me mad so I won’t think about it more.
I guess at this point my point is kind of pedantic but I just take issue with the idea that they’re just incompetent communicators. This is pretty well engineered corpospeak and lies, to the point of being pretty malicious. They’re actually entirely competent communicators, they just don’t respect their customers one bit. I know “don’t attribute to malice what you can attribute to incompetence” but it feels like Fatshark is hiding behind this saying. They’re not as stupid as is assumed in this regard.
