Entering now 6 weeks straight of blight spreads in havoc…
Is there any plans to increase the frequency of modifier updates for endgame players?? It is extremely frustrating being stuck on the same 3-4 maps with the same 4 modifiers for weeks and weeks on end.
Blight spreads is by far the worst modifier in the game, it has no gameplay implications for high havoc and just forces purity zealot or crate scum in every single team comp.
It’s amazing this modifier is disliked by every single havoc player yet it remains in the rotation for so long.
PLEASE remove blight spreads from the rotation and either remove it entirely or rework it. Also PLEASE just add more modifiers to the pool for havoc if you don’t plan to update the modifiers for months at a time, the havoc mode feels completely neglected and at times feels actively sabotaged by the restrictive modifiers and the tiny map pool.
Tide is my main game, and there are many people who play tide as their main game. The core tide playerbase is extremely loyal and dedicated, and I’m not sure why it seems Fatshark does whatever they can to make the experience for endgame and longtime players as miserable as humanly possible.
Unsure why we are limited to 4 modifiers and 5-6 maps per rotation, just give us a decent pool of modifiers and maps so we can enjoy the endgame in havoc… Playing 12 hours straight of chasm station should not be something we have to endure.
This post was prompted by seeing the “new update”, getting excited for havoc updates, then my sadness and frustration realizing we’re in for another whole week of being forced onto purity zealot for blight spreads and the small pool of carapace weapons viable into rotten armor.
I dont even care about modifiers getting fixed or reworked at this point.
Can we just have more maps + modifiers available per week? I don’t think this is asking for a lot. If you’re not gonna update havoc rotations anymore, then at least let us have access to what you artificially locked out.
If you initially made a map rotation system, that’s fine but it genuinely seems like it’s been abandoned. Why even have the rotations anymore?
I’ve already quit playing until the next Havoc reset. I used to play Darktide daily and love it, and now I can’t even bring myself to play 1 match a week to keep Havoc 40. Absolutely tragic how FS continues to treat Darktide.
Don’t worry, I’m sure another new class and game mode will fix the game!
Rotation made sense when Havoc first launched, since the devs were testing things out, but… BUT it’s about time we just got rid of rotation altogether, added all the maps and modifiers from Havoc to the pool, and made it so that whoever wins gets a new map and mods is that really so hard to implement? I clearly remember the feeling of not seeing the smelter complex for half a year and forgetting not just what it looks like, but basically that it even existed.
But the Sharks would rather add new cosmetics than do something simple and extremely useful for their game.
This has been an issue from the start. However, the havoc system intensifies the lack of player agency tenfold. Why can’t we chose what we want? It can’t be server limitations or player retention. So then WHAT IS IT. WHY??
Before havoc we had to run a mod to be able to play maps and modifiers that were on the board in the past 24 hours. (Good luck if what you wanted to play was on the board)
At this point it feels like Fatshark put in the havoc system out of pure spite for endgame players.
It would be amazing if Fatshark did something about this but I KNOW that they really just do not care.
Name one actually good Havoc difficulty modifier You have a selection of visibility obscuring, corruption spewing nonsense, stims effects you often cannot see on enemies (Crushers anyone?), Garden healing bs, which also now applies stagger resistance, then MORE stagger immunity, because dps picks are clearly not favoured enough as it is…
Have I forgotten anything? Ah yes, a modifier which sends you randomly flying, because lose control over your character is such a great game design. Cranial also makes enemies more resistant to suppression. Always present gunner changes, which mesh oh so well with the AI director spamming whole combat arenas with trash and elite gunners. I mean after all we all play Darktide, because its famous for its stellar ranged combat experience. How this hasn’t been fixed yet? How hard could it be to change the code responsible for populating game area with VARIED enemy types?
VT2 had few enjoyable difficulty modifiers in deeds, some of them are “kind of” here. Havoc modifiers in turn are some of the worst ideas Fatshark has ever had.
they know no one likes blight spreads. they force modifiers people dont like. its on purpose. its the same reason in normal missions we see lights out and dogs more than everything else.
