I got the backend error for almost a year now.

Sorry for the delay Lew - what sort of network are you using? A regular home network, or a semi-public one such as those on university campuses?

Could you see if there’s any change now 1.8.6 is live? I ask as we’ve made some changes to packet sizes with the hope that it’ll alleviate connectivity issues for some.

Just out of curiosity, do you have network jumbo frames on? Try setting them off if so, you don’t want that for gaming.

Maybe as a longshot set up port forwarding on your router e.g.

And in general, ports for Steam itself, your router may have some preset profiles for Steam and popular games.

I do not have jumbo frames and for now I cant log in rn into the router pannel as I dont technicaly own it but it might be something with the ports
