All Level Names with start and finale pictures; lest we forget

I always get confused with mission names and how they start and end when trying to reference them. I thought this would make a good reference post.

Please feel free to reply or DM with corrections. I could also do with some screenshots of the bit at the end of the mission if possible please that best capture the end event playing area. I’ll edit in all those that come in. (NB I used solo mod to keep the screen as clear as I could)

– Metalfab 36 –
Industrial factories and smelters

.
Consignment Yard Consignment Yard HL-17-36
Manufactory HL-17-36 “Metalfab 36”
Raid Mission
Start: Run along the grated floor inside a factory, down some stairs, then out in to the start of a 2-level foundry with upper and lower floors you can fight along. The upper level overlooks the lower one, and has a small room in the middle with gantries running in and out at right angles.
End: Drop down in to the train yard, stop the ground-to-air cannons, then hold out against the horde and a monstrosity until the Valkyrie arrives to pick you up.

.
Power Matrix Power Matrix HL-17-36
Manufactory HL-17-36 “Metalfab 36”
Repair Mission
Start: Starting high up outside overlooking gas venting towers, you follow the building edge on metal grates, then ascend to unlock a large circular vault door. Once inside you then descend in to the service area.
End: Descend on an open lift in to a circular arena with a med station by the exit door. Move three cryonic rods from downstairs on a central pillar up to three “skulls” on overlooking ledges, then hit the button and hold out.

.
Smelter Complex Smelter Complex HL-17-36
Manufactory HL-17-36 “Metalfab 36”
Repair Mission
Start: Starting outside near the smelter, you drop down small stair well, out of a chicken wire fencing, then run along a curved gantry following the complex wall and overlooking an industrial metal recycling yard to your right.
End: Fiery fabrication furnace where you run around 3 checkpoints clearing out eye clusters, then hold against the horde.

– The Torrent –
Shanty towns and sewers

.
Magistrati Oubliette Magistrati Oubliette TM8-707
Habzone HL-18-66 “The Torrent”
Assassination Mission
Start: You start this one in the sewers. Make your way up shallow metal service-stairs, around a corner, then you’ve a blind drop where there’re always some elites waiting for you.
End: Enter the prison cell complex and kill the boss.

.
Silo Cluster 18-66 Silo Cluster 18-66/a
Habzone HL-18-66 “The Torrent”
Strike Mission
Start: Starting in the rain at night, you run up four flights of metal grated stairs and then out in to the Torrent. The start of this map has the (now redesigned) descending spiral staircase that is always a good team check. Get down these, and then its out and across metal grating towards the silos.
This is the map with the holographic statue in the middle.
End: You follow a long train track in to their sidings - a large roughly circular room with a train turntable in the middle. Three sets of eyes need taking out while you fight in and around the storage shelves. Then you exit through a chickenwire door to escape on the Valkyrie.

.
Vigil Station Obliv Vigil Station Oblivium
Habzone HL-18-66 “The Torrent”
Espionage Mission
Start: You first make your way along a bridge, then up a set of about eight short stairs on your way to Ragtown. As you emerge, there’s always a small ledge opposite with some enemies on. You then drop in to a (very green) outdoor shanty town, making your way up and left.
End: Use the data-interrogators at three locations to gain access to a central column (bridges extend once hacked to let you in), then hold out in the middle while hacking the central computer. Exit along a corridor with spawn point at the end, down some metal steps and in to a lift.

– Throneside –
“Upper Class” area - full of Gothic style buildings

.
Archivum Sycorax Archivum Sycorax
Habzone HL-19-24 “Throneside”
Espionage Mission
Start: You start at the bottom of some very wide Gothic stairs with what looks like a small running sewer outlet in the middle. Make your way up the stairs, through two closed doors, then drop out in to an upper concourse.
End: Run around three scanning points (computers). Get the central skull doo-dah to write out the necessary details, then escape to a lift.

.
Comms-plex Comms-Plex 154/2f
Habzone HL-19-24 “Throneside”
Espionage Mission
Start: Outside in the Throneside district streets, there’s quite a long (unopposed) run past buildings, metal lion statues, tarpaulins, then up a corrugated steel sheet through an arch and in to the town.
In the middle, you have quite a difficult fight in what appears to be the nave of a church, while a cogitator hacks a single point in the chancel (?). This unlocks a lift for you, which you descend to go through a series of fine carpeted halls within the Archivum.
End: You drop on to the roof Archivum Sycorax where there’s an aegis array you need to use by placing three cogitators and holding out until the signal is sent. Then escape by Valkyrie.

.
Enclavum Baross Enclavum Baross
Habzone HL-19-24 “Throneside”
Strike Mission
Start: Start on the roof of the church, run past the statues, up the stairs, out of the broken window and across to the next building along where you then fight your way down to street level.
End: Cross the Bridge of Fools, then up some stairs and drop in to the Aegis Station. This is a big square area with the Valkyrie landing pad in the middle, large spawn point at the back and sides, and ramparts around the area that you can climb stairs to fight from. Hit the three buttons, then hold out (often on the ledge) while enemies spawn everywhere. Once done, bridges extend and you can board the Valkyrie that comes in to land.

Desert based missions

.
Spireside Excise Vault Spireside-13
Freight Port HL-32-2 “The Hourglass”
Investigation Mission
Start: Starting outside in the bright desert daylight (comms always give you a radiation message) you run along metal gantries and in to the hangar
End: Three floors in a large circular room. Around the edges are a series of sealed vaults with large circular doors. Find the ones with a button lit, hit the button, grab a cannister from inside and run it to the central extraction column. Once done, hit the button to leave and make a dash for the lift along outdoor gantries.

.
Refinery Delta Refinery Delta-17
Freight Port HL-32-2 “The Hourglass”
Disruption Mission
Start: Up some stairs, through a door, then outside on to broken gantry overlooking the desert. Drop down, then enter back inside and cross the sandy hangar. Up a short set of stairs, and there’s a knackered looking service lift waiting to take you onwards.
End: Another cogitator hacking one, this time on a large 2-level set of circular gantries with lots of stairs and sloping floors. A successful hack destroys the cannister of pathogen next to it. Enemies often spawn from the central column (it used to be easy to cheese this bit), and there’s always a load of hanging bombs and barrels around. Once done, you exit through a circular door and there’s a bit of a gauntlet run with spawn points either side until you get to the lift at the end.

.
TRS-150 Relay Station TRS-150
Freight Port HL-32-2 “The Hourglass”
Disruption Mission
Start: Dropped off by Valkyrie at the very top of the complex, you run past a small garrison, drop in to a sandy hall, then run along the corridors to a lift. Arched windows either side give sandy views of the building tops.
End: A central silo with three floors. Make your way up killing the eyes as you go. This releases a console at each level where you can activate a revolving platform that allows you access across to the next bit. At the top, there’s a circular atrium: disable the enemy communication by pulling levers while holding off the horde. Escape to the Valkyrie.

We need map nicknames.

i’ve got well over 1k hours in this game, and other than “the carnival”, i couldn’t tell you what a single mission was based on just its name alone lol

during the loading screen it’s basically just, “oh boy, here we go killing again”.

You just don’t worry about the numeric designations or the map locations, they’re just fluff.

Torrent - Water sector:
Silo Cluster - cleaning water
Magistrate Oubliette - prison boss
Vigil Station Oblivium - security tower in the hab block

Chasm Terminus - Train station:
Logistratum - steal ammo from train
Chasm Station- train boss
Hab Dreyko - plague tree
Ascension Riser - the big lift

Metalfab - factory:
Smelter - big burn
Power Matrix - cooling rods
Consignment Yard - factory trainyard

Hourglass - dust and sunlight:
Relay Station - run up the tower
Refinery - blow up green
Excise Vault - steal green

Throneside - fancy:
Enclavum Baross - hold the fancy fort
Archivum Sycatryx - fancy library raid
Comms-plex - green laser ‘message’

Carnival - red light district
Mercantile - Stim arena
Warren - drug bust

It’s 18 maps. Maps in the same area share maybe 1-2 map segments.

I understand that people do not remember the names of all maps, or can not tell for all names, which map belongs to it.
However, when someone can not remember which maps are excise vault and ascension riser, i am worried.
Those maps have the objective in their name.
Same thing for power matrix and smelter complex.
Unique locations for the end events, which are directly related to the map’s name.

Or even more simple:
Excise Vault - take power cells from vaults

Sycorax.

By name? Not really no. If i see the mission picture/type of mission(repair, raid, etc) then yes.
Sounds all the same to me apart from carnival/throneside.

Found this on the DarkLantern discord by FunkTheMunk. Hopefully he’s okay with me sharing here, else I’ll delete. I’ve added his github link too for credit.

(Edited to use the image supplied below by @rabs)

Also - I like the idea of nicknames for the finale. Maybe will do some in the style of Friends episodes, “The one with the Boss in the station”, “The one where you load up the Valkyrie”, “The one with the Radio station on the roof”.

Ideas on a postcard.

This is such a great idea. Big kudos @Jonboy.

The starting picture makes it more confusing! They all look the same to me lol.

Missions really should have been given snappier names.

I’ve got no idea which one excise vault is. I only know ascension riser because I don’t like it.

I don’t remember the mission names because they’re mostly irrelevant. The map itself seems to be the thing that makes maps good or bad, not the specific missions on each map.

It wouldn’t help. As long as they continue putting multiple missions on one map, individual mission names are going to stay mostly meaningless.

Map names are meaningless, it only determines the look for the area. Missions are what actually define what you do.

Maybe if there were better visual representations a la Helldivers or Deep Rock Galactic of the areas we go into or that there was some kind of war theatre (in both senses of the word) to give the illusion of meta-progression then maybe they might matter, but any of that is kneecapped by the complete randomness of the mission board and how half the missions narratively don’t make any sense.

I think this one was from before we realised the y-coordinate needed to be flipped. The images in the git repo are corrected if anyone wants to stitch them together again
