Worst case scenarios for the skulls reveal bingo thread

(Dont take this too seriously, its only for fun, $hits’an giggles)

  2. New expeditions item things that you can only ever use in expeditions
  3. no new normal maps
  4. new havoc “season” with more modifiers locked to havoc only
  5. only 1 new weapon (melee) + 2 weapon variants (melee only as well)
  6. another crappy “event” that they’ve been vomiting out ever so often. (and you guessed it, no aquilla reward)
  7. no new class
  8. IF there is a new class its 100% NOT admech
  9. A bonus teaser at the end to something that is 4 months away.

Now a very special bingo list just in case our delusions are in fact real and there is in fact a new class that is in fact Admech :

  1. first ability is overcharge - it buffs damage, speed and highlights every enemy of importance (yes YET ANOTHER class that steals from the veteran)
  2. no servo skull
  3. 2nd ability is scrapcode - stuns every enemy around you for a long duration (yep, its vet shout and zealot relic combined)
  4. plasma grenade - strong as a krak, wide as a frag (more of making vet irrelevant)
  5. rad nade - gives a cloud of smoke that poisons enemies and hides us from view (more vet stealing)
  6. forge flames - explosion of fire around the caster (either as 3rd ability or nade) and to make it more cool its like flame staff and flamer on steroids (good bye visibility).

Thats about all my sleep deprived brain can conjure. Im sure fatshark will somehow manage to beat this though.

Vet mains fighting shadows about dlc characters invalidating and outclassing veteran, something that hasn’t hapened with either of the 2 dlc characters

i think there will be aquilas, cause they always gave 500 aquilas during every the last two skull events

How is hive scum’s desperado not a blatant copy-paste of the vet ability?
Not only is highlighting enemies and increasing ranged damage but also has the ranged reload that was taken away from vet in the past.

New exciting ogryn weapon: grenade gauntlet mark with less ammo but more aoe

It doesnt highlight elites and specials, it only highlights close enemies, it doesnt increase your damage at all, it increases your movespeed and makes you dodge ranged fire which exe stance doesn’t do, and desperado only gains a little bit if duration each kill and is meant to make your ammo free for mowing down large groups of enemies. Wherass exe stance’s duration fully resets on killing a high value target, meaning the veteran can take time to line up shots and needs to be precise in which targets he shoots to keep it going. Literally the only thing they share is that they swap to the ranged weapon and highlights certain enemies under different conditions. If anything desperado is more of a copy of point blank barrage.

Major Differences for Exec Stance:

  • It generates toughness while active
  • Reduced recoil and spread
  • Buffs weapon and headshot dmg

Minor Differences:

  • No distance requirement, killing 1 highlighted enemy fully replenishes the duration of Exec Stance
  • Exec Stance still ticks down on cooldown while it’s active

being a bit darktide fatigued lately, such events are easy effort content to fill my channel for a week or two while relaxing in conan exiles.

first time in 3 years i aint uploading daily, guess the power creep and havoc crap finally got to me :man_shrugging:

btw, i’m exiled as well and having fun, and that’s coming from someone who played only fps since og doom came out.

not that i’ll ever quit the emperor’s service, but relaxing at time does wonders for long term motivation.

If it’s literally anything other than new main maps, new enemies or new weapons then I’m going to flip a table.

Well most Mechanicus classes have the full potential to outclass Vet in ranged combat.
People will cry/whine anyway lol

Well, off to a lackluster start with retreaded cosmetics, the overpriced skull skin bundles among them, and an event that’ll give some Aquilas (amount looks to be super tiny. Seriously? FIVE as the start? Get outta here)

You “literary” describe how abilities at baseline work without understanding the underyling argument behind “Vet vs Hive Scum”. Darktide is a game based on constant movement, and one ability gives you free movespeed with neverending stamina, infinite ammo and immunity to half of the enemies in the game, while the other ability only works well with crit ADS weapons where you need to be scoped 75% of the time.

The infinite ammo part alone makes even ammo hungry low damage weapons like Autopistol, Braced Autoguns and Shotguns semi-good without the player taking every single ammo box on the map so they can keep shooting without worrying they’ll run out of ammo after spending one clip per Scab Rager or Mauler on autopistol.

Good luck shooting 5 reapers across the bridge on Ascension Riser 31 at the beginning as Exe Stance Vet, without hiding after each shot on H40. Meanwhile Hive Scum pushes them in melee, helping to take the fire off the team by tanking shots, and killing half of them in process.

I know it’s just ragebait to farm likes from your buddies to hate a group of people for giving feedback you don’t agree with, but at least try to come up with something original.

Btw, decent Desperado Hive Scum with dualies or uzis can consistently deal 2-3 million damage in Havoc 40, while Vet barely reaches 2 million most of the time, even using previously unnerfed krak grenades and duelling sword.

also acting like veteran doesnt literally counteract all other “similar” grenades by just simply regenerating more

First time was for last skulls, 2nd was for anniversary. We’re already seeing something different in some way this time, be it amount or mechanic to achieve possibly 500 again. So never assume FS will do something based on the past.

Exe Stance helbore is literally the best build in the game at dealing with this exact situation and is a great example of why desperado hive scum actually doesn’t compete with exe stance all that much! You literally just hit exe stance, (which along with the marksman node makes you one shot reapers to the head without MF stacks) and one shot kill all 5 of them while dodging and generating more toughness than arbites does when horde clearing. Exe Stance clears a gunline faster than anything besides maybe a tauntgryn running in with melee support behind him and taunting everything to completely invalidate the room.

Oh my god, you’re telling me the build that magdumps into hordes and also does good into all non-carapce elites ends up having higher total damage than the build that ignores chaffe and and focuses solely on special sniping and elite busting? Wow dude that’s so true, I guess I’ll ignore all context and say bigger number = veteran bottom tier invalidated!! The inferno staff psyker also invalidates the veteran, you heard it here first folks!
