Why do my character settings reset when I exit the game?

Why do my character settings reset when I exit the game ? for example, I played with a hammer, then took the sword, and quit the game. When you enter the game, you will see a hammer, not a sword. This started after the last major update.

You do not need to create another topic, you only need to edit your first message and change the section.

Changed the section for you. :slightly_smiling_face: Could you please ensure your user_settings.config is not set to ‘Read Only’ by:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to \AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Right-click ‘user_settings.config’
  5. Select ‘Properties’
  6. Ensure the ‘General’ tab is selected
  7. Ensure the ‘Read Only’ checkbox is not checked
