Why do I need to add my Player ID when writing a report in bugs section?

This thing bothered me for quite some time and I wanted to ask.
Also, it’s not really a MUST to add this, but they say it is needed

My theory that it is needed if the bug happened to you or your account, but maybe I am wrong
