What would need to happen for the game to see an Immortal Empires level of revovery?

This is little bit confusing comparison to me. Pretty much anyone who had played total war warhammer knew that the game would get infinitely better the moment immortal empires would launch.
Heck i doubt even 10% of the playerbase considers playing the standard campaing of warhammer 3 now.
(No mans sky would probably be better comparison or even R6 Siege.)

Darktide on the otherhand, this is the game, there is not going to be some massive amount of extra content in the future that would massively change the experience.

What Darktide needs is for fixes and content that was promised to be implemented asap. Scrapping and changing many of the stupid rng aspects of this game and actually going back closer to what vermintide 2 was system wise.
Finally it needs content and it probably needs that content pretty fast like new careers/classes.

Knowing fatshark they will more than likely fix this game for a good while before they even consider dropping support, but if it will make vermintide 2 recovery is anyones quess at this point.

All they need to do is deliver on the promised features:

  • A good crafting system that let us change weapons to our liking - ie giving us more player agency than Vermintide 2. Let us choose the perk for the combined cost of rerolling to free (and just have that cost each time you want another perk) and let us reroll both - while at it we need the ability to change both blessings because it is almost guaranteed we will lock one as it is right now.
  • Give us a better gear progression than the current RNG store that will never work no matter what they try to implement of fixes.
  • Fix the horrendous mission board to allow us to choose difficulty so that we have agency over missions, modifiers and secondary objectives.
  • Fix the penances so they aren’t inherently anti-teamwork.
  • Fix the Psyker so it’s feats are reflected in its weapons like all other classes and fix Ogryn to be a tank as it is designed to be - right now it’s just a wet tissue paper.

Those are the fixes needed and should have been the design plan from the beginning.

We don’t need any other fluff like PvPvE which isn’t going to fix jack, we don’t need more content when the current content is so beyond broken, we need the game in a stable condition so it can be expanded upon and we need it soon rather than in a year.

You don’t need a year to fix
