What do you guys hope the next class will be?

well, that’s your opinion, and i do agree, but this post is about future classes that people would like to see in game, not about what should come next.

It’s still my answer to the question: I’m not indifferent about the next class, I actively prefer they didn’t add any.
Any addition makes it less likely that they polish what’s already in, and I’d rather the resources went somewhere else.

It’s not about dictating, but more of giving an “offer you can’t refuse”.

And license pricing is the key factor here.

It might be even possible that Fatshark and Owlcat got the Arbites license for free (or extremely cheap).

Which might be an answer to why DLC with a new class costs less than a single skin set.

Abhuman. But I’d be happy with Xenos too.

I was hoping for Ratling or something. It’s just more flavorful to me.

This is something I can imagine.

I’m hoping for Xiphosura, personally. I’d settle for Scyphozoa.

I considered Arbites too ‘elite’, but since that’s not the case…if possible, I’d want a Tech-Adept with some of the weirder weapons.

I’m still going to hope for a Sister of Battle Novitiate (see: SoB Killteam set), but I’m hoping for that in the same way I’m still hoping for Inquisitorial Stormtrooper armour and a Hellgun. So not expecting or really hopeful until it actually, if ever, happens.

I’m not so sure. Until we know what Grendyl is like, whether they’re ideologically a Puritan or a Radical, how (un)orthodox they are in their workings, we only have that they’re Ordo Hereticus. With how clear-cut Witch Hunters tend to be as a rule, and how they clamp down on anything with even the slight whiff of heresy or xenos, I wouldn’t put my money on it happening. As always, I would be happy to be proven wrong.

I could make an arguement for Navy Breachers, but most likely see that being a skin for Arbites as no one will really notice the difference.

Rejects are basically rogue trader retinue at this point.

Im starting to view this as a “Vermintide 1” , meaning Darktide 2 will have the new enemies. Id love to be proved wrong.

I think the biggest clue we have to how Grendyl will operate is Dan Abnett’s other Inquisitors, who got up to all kinds of heretical business!

I mean, Darktide 2 shouldn’t happen though… VT2 had to happen cause VT1 wasn’t meant to be supported as much, technical side and all.

Here there aren’t really any reason to not introduce stuff in Darktide, and then on its own make another unrelated tide game.

Orks, either as player or tide, Eldar, SM :face_vomiting:

Or non Warhammer (which would be really nice to see how it affect the game production), or even BF/AoS

I hope so, Im currently reading through Ciaphas Cain series and the dynamic of 3 factions always felt like the best result.

Im just trying to wrap my head around paying for a new faction, I think FS mention they wont charge for a new one?

Narratively we have the seeds of heresy from Rannick, he is even matter of fact mentioning “for the emperor”, using those terms in vein (to me). The natural evolution is GSC, calling of the final days.

Since the missions seem to be going up the ladder on the hive world, we still havnt gone very low or outskirts. No caves, Maybe if Dukane could get the damn train system undercontrol we could go to any biome or location outside the City.

I think people inferred it from the no paid maps/missions and mode iirc.

Like I really don’t think that a new faction would end up paid, when there isn’t any host systems.

I don’t hope for anything, i didn’t even hoped that we will get new class, but i would like to get some xenos as both class and enemies, like Ork mercenary vs Tyranids.
Inquisitor Grendyl already showed that it willing use anyone at this point, we have psykers who borderline heretical, only one out of 3 of their archetype is clearly loyal, we have loose cannon veteran and one of the zealots, who’s not as zealous as others.

Yea, there’s no way to do a new paid faction without splitting the player base, and not splitting the player base via paid DLC is what they’ve stated their goal is.

im sure fatshark knows everyone wants techpriest/skitarii so itll be ratling

Dam the Inquisition really only answer to the Emperor himself…who can’t even communicate in the traditional sense.

No wonder they’re so powerful.

Populism at its finest.

they already stated that ratlings are out of the question, sadly.
