Weird Weapon Swapping not working

Hello the weapon swapping during the game, doesn’t matter the method, numerical keys, Q key or mouse wheel isn’t working properly.

Issue Description:
When I press the button to change the weapon it plays the animation to pick current weapon instead of the new one or simply don’t do nothing.

I notice that it’s worse when I’m using more cumbersome weapons like the shotgun for the preacher or the granade launcher for the ogryn, but it happens a lot with a lot of characters and weapons.

I don’t know if it have something to do with the latency and sincronization or is something about the animation cancelling.

I don’t know if I can see my ping somewhere, but I’m in Portugal and it doesn’t feel like I have a lot of latency while shooting or any other actions.

Steps to Reproduce:
Standing still, just try to switch weapons.

Platform:
Steam, My computer is a desktop i5-8600k, 16Gb, GTX1070, playing at 1080p it run well.

I’d say it happens at least 75% of the weapon switches.

Is this still happening to you? If so, could you provide us with your launcher log file and the console log for a session where this happened?

You may find these by doing the following:

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here
