Veteran cosmetic clothing renders poorly (muscle clipping through) at low LOD setting

This is about veteran’s upper body cosmetic: Militarum Heavy Battlegear (Protectus Pattern IX).
I’ve reported this cosmetic’s issue as “incorrect muscle rendering” before multiple times, and it’s been acknowledged before but never fixed.
After some tinkering, I now know that the problem only occurs at <1 LOD setting (still exists until 1.5 LOD, has muscles clipping through when sprinting).
Given that the LOD slider drastically impacts GPU usage & performance (and I’m currently suffering higher GPU heat when playing the game again, for some reason), would it be possible to fix this cosmetic to not have rendering problems at low LOD?
As far as I know, there are no other clothing pieces that magically start to have multiple big holes in them with low LOD.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Acquire & equip upper body cosmetic “Militarum Heavy Battlegear (Protectus Pattern IX)” for veteran
  2. Adjust LOD setting below 1, observe it having holes in clothing (arms) when zoomed out in loadout menu & mourningstar 3rd person
  3. Adjust LOD setting between 1 and 1.4 (below 1.5), observe it still having holes when running (3rd person, mourningstar) and immediately after exiting sprint
