Versus Weekly Spotlight

So about the spotlight.

*You cannot actively check on your track progression. All rewards will be granted the following week

Why have you done this? Why? :weary:

You know whatā€™s even funnier? This is roughly at the same time when a bunch of people had lost various progress tracking in the game. I wonder, how many people who have played well over 3 hours on the 14th and none since will be very surprised to see no rewards being given to them tomorrow evening.

And I have a long week at work right nowā€¦ Just ideal time for an unannounced time limited challenge that requires time spent in the gameā€¦

what do we even have to do?

Supposedly, play in any mode.

yea not a fan of this to be honest.
it is better if they just give the stuff if logging in one of those days. rather than spending 3 hours in a match afkā€™ing.

Iā€™d never try versus explicitly for the rewards. I gave it a second shot and burnt out within a couple days of spending my free time solo-queuing into quick play versus. Weā€™ll either be squashing the enemy team or being squashed. Itā€™s almost never a fair match-up. Iā€™ve seen 4 stacks against 2 and 2 bots, or accounts with 1000+ hours on one side, be it mine or the other against brand new players. Itā€™s not fun.

I watched a battle wizard brand new player overheat and die repeatedly until they quit within less than 10 minutes. Many new players donā€™t even know they can call in a Skaven horde, or never can because they never get an opportunity to do much damage since theyā€™re new. You have to be more creative to get damage without a horde, especially on experienced players. Despite experienced hero teams being nearly unstoppable as they rush from objective to objective, thereā€™s many brand new players who go straight to versus and consistently get under 30 points as the heroes, in many cases, 0.

The ceiling and floor for playing well as heroes is much greater than skaven, as a good hero team will steamroll on through with like 30 revives, and a bad one can barely get out the gate. Iā€™d say only one in every 10 matches is a ā€œfair gameā€. Iā€™m going back to Hitman 3 until they sort this out, maybe Iā€™ll show up for the campaign mode and chaos wastes, but if thereā€™s nobody around, and I canā€™t find a match in my area, Iā€™m just going to a different game.
