  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

After zero responses and zero help from Fatshark in regards to all the crashing I encountered after the Omnissiah update, I decided to use ChatGPT to solve my issue.

I entered in my crash log from:

C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide

you can find this by: window+R, then entering %appdata%

After giving ChatGPT my crash logs, it was able to pinpoint the error I was receiving. I then made that correction myself within usersettings.exe and was finally able to play my first round of Darktide since the launch of the Ominssiah update.

It just read out the crash error report to him in spoken sentences. If he knew how to code, he could have understood it himself.

Because I saw similar uses of ChatGPT I think it could really work, but anyway good post and if the problem was real kudos to your solution and making a post about it.

But I see what you’re saying…but what does that say about Fatshark being unable to help and ChatGPT helping?
