With some of the new Psyker additions the frustrations of Soulblaze ownership are going to become even more of a headache. Currently whoever applies the first stack will then ‘own’ that dot and determine all modifiers and buffs that apply to that ticking dot damage, regardless of how much anyone else adds after that point.
When you are the only Psyker it is fine, obviously. But when there are two or more of you then it can become very frustrating if you’re applying most of the stacks and actively trying to boost them with buffs and procs through maintaining high peril or a melee weapon with dmg to type or power/rending buffs, but can’t because you don’t own the stack because your sibling opened the fight with a shriek or blazing trauma proc or whatever. Or if someone is running Wildfire, then regardless of what happens they will end up owning most of the stacks as they spread. Having a melee weapon with +25% dmg to unyielding to boost the dot ticks on bosses makes a huge difference, so it is a real pain when a Psyker not doing that gets the first stack.
It is admittedly an odd thing to get annoyed by, but now it’s going to be even more annoying. Sometimes if I see a boss has already been hit with a small stack by another Psyker I will wait and let it tick back to zero before starting to build my own stacks to buff properly. With everything going on in a fight whether you applied the first stack really shouldn’t be something that ever needs to be thought about or played around.
Now with Purgatus getting Blaze Away (power boost) and Everlasting Flame (rending boost), unless you’ve applied the first stack, those blessings aren’t actually going to do anything at all (ignoring the small direct damage because it is small).
The most obvious solution is to change the dot ownership system to instead consider every player that has contributed at least one stack to an enemy as a shared owner of the dot, and then calculate the tick damage based on whichever shared owner’s buffs will result in the highest damage. The more generous, but probably too far, approach would be to apply every unique buffs currently active among all of the shared owners.
This change would also make In Fire Reborn (and probably the new Souldrinker) talent work a bit more sensibly too. Currently any target dying with soulblaze on it can trigger In Fire Reborn, even if you’re miles away but it was applied to a fellow sibling.
As a Purgatus main this is quite important to me @FatsharkStrawHat , so please make sure the dev team are made aware of it as issue that needs addressing one way or another.
thrust 4 on the ds4 is one shot on crushers, it combined with precog and the duelist talent is just a insane boost that game breaking. Flamer getting a rending blessing is the exact same problem, it is huge power creep. The flamer is now insanely OP. Hope the groups feature allows us to disable certain builds because it is totally reasonable for a flamer to apply dot through carapace and the ds4 to just one shot them.
It’s a change for the agri revolver, which let’s be honest isn’t op or meta.

I highly doubt it man… They just pushed buffed weapons to the point where running them is game ruining.
True solo/duo is the only way I can see myself putting hours in the game anymore.
I would agree even if after playing with it, it is a good weapon.

Also, i feel that revolver cleave is ok… If the cleave was not working at long range
The revolver should not be a better sniper rifle than the helbore.

As I said in the other thread, Thunder Hammer buff is GREAT. Looks like it’ll be back into its anti-armor role.
Tree changes are a bit much for me to absorb at the moment so I’m gonna wait for the update to see how they go. Just make sure that the Penances update properly since IIRC inspiring presence did something like that?
Disappointed in the vet changes. That’s the only thing I take umbrage with tbh, everything else is either ‘needs testing for me to decide’ or wonderful.

Not sure how I feel about Psykers not being able to down themselves anymore, it sounds like it just got easier, but depending on the corruption dealt, this could actually permakill the player faster. Interested to see this in action.
Might wanna verify the associated penance is still able to be completed with this change.

Where is diff 6? all these buffs are balanced above auric dam, so far above.
Or like enemy balance changes to deal with power creep. These buffs are in addition to being able to 380 any weapon with any blessings you’d want to run. Idk. I would like auric to keep it’s challenge. Even would like to see it get tougher tbh.

Power and rending on purgatus, infinite cleave weapon, I don’t understand this, it is just game breaking op. This is the end of playable pubs for anyone who wants any difficulty. this is just sad and upsetting.

Yeah, diff 6 would probably be the best way to increase challenge without 80% of the playerbase throwing a tantrum.
flamer rending probably the most terrifying thing ive seen here. do not. please. we have enough op stuff in this game.

Puncture should be a function of bolter ammo and not a perk.
Power Cycler(max rank) should be how special activation should function on power swords and thunder hammers.
It really sounds like the players are going to be just absolutely unstoppable in this patch. A lot of these changes just sound busted.
