Fatshark already has several new classes in the back-burner.
The next class was gonna be Hive Ganger. They have a trailer ready and everything but then the forums denizens everywhere about rumours its gonna be a Ganger. Management at FS and GW panic.
At the last minute GW step in and say FS must release Ad-Mech next instead and that FS have a week to get an Ad-Mech trailer made.
I dont actually believe this, just a fun thought I had when talking wit my bro while playing some DT tonight.
Cool theory but its weird how they wanted us to know it was arbitrator from the teaser, but this class has to be hush hush until reveal. Its probably something we weren’t supposed to see in the reveal trailer XD.
People aren’t hurt. We’re just astonished at the level of incompetence. Especially considering how easily FS could have just posted an image and class name.
I shudder at the thought of a “situation” when the “us few on the forums”, compared to whatever is considered “whole playerbase”, already have a sway in it
personally I’m still in tourist mode/rule of cool, having had nothing to do with 40k prior, so street punk junkie in space is as good to me as the next option, as long as there’s a continuation.

Have you been on the steam post for the delay? I understand frustration but some people act like FS just took their firstborn and threw it to the chaos gods.

And yet they didnt, hence why I posted a silly theory about why that happened. One thing is likely, if they couldve they wouldve. Do you think they just went “oh no, we forgot to make a trailer, soz peeps”?
It being pulled at the last minute means something went wrong or they were forced to. Either way Im less inclined to believe incompetence was the cause.
The biggest problem with not telling people what happened is people make up whatever they want and get very, very angry about that made up thing they just made up.
Yeah, I agree. The theory that GW had some last day feedback and FS couln’t change that within a day is likely.
But on top of that my theory is that they need all the bells and whistles they have and specifically a gameplay trailer to show us that Hive Ganger is actually cool. If it was AdMech, they could have posted a single image and class name and people would have been hyped. Doing the same for Hive Ganger would have the opposite effect.
That theory doesn’t hold up simply because Fatshark is barely able to deliver 3-4 maps a year. Expecting them to prepare content beforehand is ludicrous. There are simply too many vacation days and snowstorms in a year.
