Would it have been too much to ask to have a keystone like warp siphon? Get damage and like reload speed for elite/special kills, stacks a few times, last a while, stacks drop off 1 at a time, sort of thing?
They fücking nerfed it. Reduced down to 10% speed. And didn’t list it in patch notes.
I mean 10% is fair, that’s the same as the equivalent Zealot talent. Especially now we have another source of attack speed.
I disagree. It feels needlessly clunky. But I’d like to know why exactly they didn’t mention this in the patch notes.
I mean why SHOULD it just be a better version of the Zealot skill? Come on you at least have to defend that perspective. It kinda made sense without keystones that the furthest down nodes pull extra weight but I’m genuinely asking for your reasoning here.
I mean the whole tree was reworked, probably would have been cumbersome to try and put every individual change into the notes.
I appreciate the sentiment, that you are being polite, and I recognize that the question is a reasonable one, but I’ll be frank: I just don’t care. That’s not directed at you or anything, I just mean with regards to the question of balance or whatever, I really just don’t care. I don’t play this game to be competitive because I just play after I come home from work, which is why I mostly play on Malice level.
The new rate is exceptionally noticeable and thus it negatively impacts my fun. Compounding my frustration is that I’d only just started to resume playing after veteran got dicked over in patch 13, only for it now to be disrupted. I don’t think was needed and I’m bitter that this wasn’t disclosed anywhere and I feel misled. That’s as forthright as I can be. I hope you find my answer satisfying.
I’m honestly surprised that going from 115% attack speed to 110% would feel noticeable but once my damn patch finally finishes downloading I’ll be checking the new trees out in full and see how it all seems.
I don’t claim to speak for anyone’s opinion but my own. It may well be we have different thoughts on the matter. I’d be curious to hear your takeaway though.
Ah yes, now Vets will duck walk the entire game to keep the stacks.
It’s a mess. A needless one, sadly.
You get 3 stacks back per headshot kill.
1 stack every 0.75 seconds. You can go back to full stacks within seconds of a new engagement and the stacks fall off incredibly slowly with normal movement … Quite literally as i predicted earlier in the thread.
If you’re trying to maintain max stacks at all times for an entire match … You’re doing it wrong.
I might be over reacting.
Having 200+ toughness and hp at the same time is nice.
My favorite build is a victim of me being too used to the previous tree, straight up. That might be ok as my build now requires me to pick between fast reload on elite kill or toughness on elite kill.
Focus Fire didn’t add any new break point for plasma without 8 stack.
Definitely need to get some sleep and then play with this tree more
Still too damn many nodes
Spend 10-16 seconds for max stacks
Ah, actually not that as bad as if it was +1 stack per 2 secs being tagged
So the +33% crit stack per stack in the right tree is a lie.
even 10 stacks shooting is far from guaranteed crits, and considering how SHORT the bonus is - the intended use is to fight in melee and THEN whip out a pistol to remove specials.
But since crit is far from guaranteed, a zealot with his 25% crit chance easy to stack and keep keystone is just still better veteran
You wanted keystones, they’re ok, but damn all too high maintenance to be worth taking.
Not to mention it removes your essential ability to TAG ENEMIES when YOU need it.
This keystone was done by an idiot who doesnt play the game.
Can’t believe I’m saying it but I like the old skill tree more. Way more actually.
I will check how many of my 4 builds are salvageable…
Ofc this one is sh-t. Look at zealot, psyker or even ogryn.
Zealot can take everything he wants and still have points to get 2 full keystones if they werent locked
