It might be the same weapon, but in 2 modes (looks like a folding shovel)
Or just 2 MKs of the shovels

precisely what Iâm afraid ofâŚ
I hope not
Pretty sure this is exactly what is happening, but who knows the timeline.
The underlying idea here is to have an evolving, dynamic story. They donât want us killing the same person a million times, like in VT2, because theyâre trying to tell a story and Dan Abnett said Beezlefarts Buttbong from VT2 was stupid.
So I suspect weâll get these guys crashing missions for a while and then for a âcycleâ weâll get our first kill mission for a unique boss (the twins). Weâll kill them for good (a few hundred times) and then that mission will be replaced with the next threat.
Hopefully they keep it frequent and spicy!
Bro thats a shovel and the same shovel (folded)
Iâm actually pretty excited about the folding shovel, looks like it adds some new mechanics and is interesting.
Am I more excited about a folding shovel over the prospect of some of the cooler 40k weapons or just new weapons in general? No, obviously. lol. But it does look cool/fun to play around with.
ROCK AND STONE-
Where does that keep coming from
WEâRE RICH!!!
Agh- Beneficent Emperor, what is this?!
Trying to tell a story, sure.
But is there a real reason why we canât keep the twins as a 4th boss encounter forever? I donât see one.
And the comparison to VT2 doesnât work when the bossfight is the climax to a mission and not a boss that spawns in one of three points into a map at randomâŚ
Hopefully theyâll surprise us with a dedicated boss mission for the Karnak Twins at some point. Yeah, thatâs a lot of hopium⌠but what else can we do besides voice our hopes for it to the CMs?
uhummm achkshuallyâŚ
very subtle differences like always that are more like skin differences than anything about the actual weapon. all shovels that arenât the OGs fold, btw. forever ago when you had the alternate skins equipped (that youâd be able to use from the commissary) they would also swap the equip animations to unfold. that was fixed pretty early on.
Pooper scooper mode activated
i canât wait to see the new veteran tree design, and possibly, play as the veteran without smacking my head against the table out of frustration
A damned shovel, and a damned Stubba gun better not be all Ogryn got!
Or someoneâs eating a shovel! Ova and ova!
That is saying if it is new stubber, pal! I like these guns, they are for smart Ogryns, yes?
I see. How riveting. Now that i have been proven wrong my enthusiam for shoveltide only grows. Thank goodness fatshark got ahold of the 40k IP so they could ensure we all got to use these underserved and very exciting, uniquely aesthetic, folding shovels.
Our year of waiting has been worth it fellow tiders.
"But reginald! Arent you being a bit hyperbolic!? "
Yes.
âBut thereâs new chain weapons! A new chain axe! That has to be exciting!â
We will see but one of them will probably just be the best and the rest will be dustbin fodder. Either way its not a new flavor of gameplay per se. Its just a derivation. I said i wont prejudge since i havenât played the patch yet. But the goal of marketing teasers is to make the audience enthusiastic and i am not.
I actually think that is likely.
Praying to the Emperor
Iâm genuinely terrified of what might be to come with the new fanning revolver. Iâm hoping that it doesnât just become Bolter 2: Electric Boogaloo for the sake of⌠well⌠balance, mostly. The potential Plasma and Bolt Pistols are going to be completely and utterly redundant if this new revolver is too powerful.
