The game needs a direct landing on the battlefield, without long dialogues at the beginning

Vermintide 2 wins a lot over Darktide in that don’t need to walk for several minutes at the beginning of the match before the first enemy meet.
Hundreds time on every map need to listen same npc dialogue and while just walking for nothing.
Build a part of the map where nothing happens, write dialogue for it and it will take up work energy and time, perhaps it is better to use the entire map for gameplay, populating the entire map.

on it can be build some kind of mission, for example, a team flies on a mission, and then the spaceship is hit by air defense, they fall and survive, and the mission begins

Yes I agree. I would like an elevator instead of holding W and using all my stamina before the first fight.

The game being able to handle a helldivers drop… considering peoples reports on how they crash is they fart next to their PC, Im not sure the game can handle a direct landing, but this would be nice!

Then again, people alt f4 and rejoin exploit into fights all the time… so maybe the game can handle the stress? who knows!

Disagree.

“I enjoy the quiet, it will get loud soon.”

I too enjoy the build up, maybe a mission modifier for the Valkerie to “hock-tua” you out in the map could be fun…

It’s not a bad idea to give players a little time to prepare, and you may be in a hurry to jump into the fight right away, but when you start a mission, different players don’t actually enter the mission at the same time due to different computer configurations and network issues.

Of course, maybe it would be a little more convenient to turn the running process into an elevator with a button on it, which is a good idea.

I think we could have both. It can certainly get stale to have the same flow for every mission so mixing it up is never a bad idea. I would not add this before giving players complete agency over what missions they play and with what modifiers though, as this would probably not be for everyone.

A scenario where you drop into an ongoing fight between loyalists and traitors (seeing as they have working friendly AI, to some extent) as an opener, but then you peel off to accomplish some special objective in the context of the bigger fight could be really thematic and score a lot of cool points.

A grav-chute insertion that scatters us over the starting area kinda like Parting of the Waves would be neat.

We already have one where we abseil down into an abandoned building.

The reason why is so that players can load in and join shortly past the short amount of lobby time. I think it makes a lot of sense honestly.

I just want to feel like I’m actually part of the War going on for Tertium. While friendly AI would be a really cool way to do this, it doesn’t even have to be that. Something like going along the edge of a battlefield and disabling enemy artillery, blowing a bridge an enemy tank column is going over, stopping an enemy breakthrough past friendly lines etc.

Doing maintenence work doesn’t convey either the feeling or the scale of the supposed conflict going on.

The intro to the level does help PC’s and Xbox to catch up to the server… I’ve had a few games of players typing they are still loading, despite us making it past the “walk-up” phase.

Its weird that the match would start after experiencing a pre-intro with the valk loading section only to have players still loading the game.

Help it make sense FS!

I agree with this. DT doesn’t do the greatest job of selling you on the broader context. It’s something they could learn from the Space Marine 2 trailers. They already convey the massive scale of what’s going on in a way that’s super impactful and just cool as fugg.

When all your narrative is delivered in fuzzy vox’s it falls into the classic cinematic trap of show vs tell.

Telling us everything is shrinking the scope to the point that I have to remind myself Atoma is being fought over in a hive city. Ya know…Hive Cities… places that can house TRILLIONS of humans.
