The Darktide devs have lost their passion for this game

Game is based around 4 mains roles, ofc they’re gonna overlap heavily

Thank you, Fuplaayz. I didn’t think about this.

I hate that this is correct
You’d think they’d learn after their 3rd attempt at a new seperate mode that’s half baked and somehow a massive development investment and yet has barely any content once again failed to hold any players while the main mode continues to be the most played.
But no we can only do one half of a new map in over a year and a half for it the mappers absolutely need to dedicate their talents to modes no one plays

I can’t wait to see that the upcoming update is the first and final update for expeditions, until we get the next attempt at a new half baked mode no one asked for next year

It’s just a “coded” complaint about changes to Uncanny Strike, duelling swords, “hidden” SB / grenade / bleed interactions, likely other general balance adjustments etc. Nothing new to see here.

It’s just that the way it’s worded makes me feel weird

“Class are becoming less unique with constant balance” and the closest case of this is pickpocket not allowing you to regen ammo with ranged that would allow you to play shooting 24/7 in a frenzy

Everything else is relatively the same

The specific phrase that I don’t really agree with is original identity, that wasn’t destroyed by balance, it was a deliberate decision made by fatshark when they decided to create a free for all talent tree. Other than that, classes are, from a meta perspective, gravitating in the same shrinking bubble. Insert vt2 class balance comparison here.

the game released broken as hell they never had passion or talent to begin with lmaoooo

Say whatever you want about fatshark (as in the company) and tide games. But the devs that created vermintide and darktide core gameplay 100% are/were talented.
No idea how many of them are still working for fatshark though.
The combat lead designer already left.

i think in total at fatshark are about 180 or so but prob some are working for their new game and the rest of it between dt devs and vt2, i think too FS devs are good it’s just that they slow when there are urgent things to fix or address things, especially when community is fairly complaining about things, there is never a feeling where devs are actually listening and being present. just scripted blogs but ofc there is and it’s also thanks to the CM that is checking the general sentiment of players and things to deliver to the devs and then it’s up to the devs. and most of the time devs do bad decisions or waste development time with things that don’t work out. for example mortis trial and expeditions imo were a huge time waste.
