…That’s all they should be. Sorry, but “Elite” just means they need to do something more annoying than shooters, AND THEY DO. Their knockback is ridiculous when there are a bunch all clumped together they way they do them.
Their knock back is nothing, and dodging into them makes them pull out their melee weapons and makes them a complete non threat.
If their only justification is anemic damage and slight knockback than they need to buffed, especially compared to all the other changes we’ve gotten
I would love this too. Nothing wrong with a bit of trench war once in a while.
…Everyone trying to make a game HARDER than it needs to be. It’s fine the way it is. This isn’t Dark Souls.
Play lower difficulty if you have problem with the game being too hard.
Yeah I have no doubt, purely a taste thing I guess. I’ll probably recommend it to my friend when he jumps on, he prefers full auto I think. I’ve always been more a precision/semi-auto kinda guy.
No joke though, I’d give my entire inventory for a Hellgun.
oh, @dragomusic just quickly, if you get a chance, what did you have on your 7a for blessings/perks? I’m curious if what I thought was a “top tier” 7a is built ass-backwards.
lmao. Barely being able to play Auric Damnation as it is. Everyone wants everything to be like dark souls. I am starting to hate people that just want “A CHALLENGE” This is NOT Dark Souls, or a Souls-like game. If you want a CHALLENGE go play them and stop taking things from casual game players.
Come on dude, nothing against casuals, but just play Normal Damnation if you find auric hard. I’m quite happy for Auric and Auric Maelstrom not being a snoozefest for once. We have 5 difficulty for a reason.
I can’t pick a higher difficulty because there is none, but you can easily go down a notch.
I’ve made a big thing about cheatspawns in the past, and… Just to talk about it…
First, you have to convince people it’s happening, not just a drop down, but a magic ‘poof’ without even a lightning strike sound effect…
Then you have to deal with the people who say it also happened in VT2 so it’s tradition or something,
Then you have to explain to the shills that yes, it really is very annoying to perfectly sweep an area and have a guy appear by magic in it and hit you in the back.
And then you still don’t usually get results, but I will say they might have reduced it. (Might.)
Have seen 50+ horde trash spawn right infront of me about 2 meters away when I turned around on the new map. It was truly something.
I quite agree. It’s really irritating when the game glitches out and just drops enemies in where there logically can be no enemy.
You did your job, you checked the corner, you turn around, corner full.
I have a friend who also didn’t really like it and didn’t do well with it. Must be a feel thing. I’ve always been a full out or burst type of guy so it fits.
I’d say for both the 6d and 7a you want Maniac and Flak for perks, and Headhunter is mandatory on both of them. I’d say for 6 the blessing you want is Infernus, while on the 7 you want dumdum. Although the 2nd blessing isn’t as important as the perks and headhunter.
I wouldn’t recommend running the 7 on Scryer Psyker, although it still works. But for how that playstlye is set up the 6 is way better for it.
Tell the truth after coming back and playing a few games, ehhh?
Like i can tell there is a bit of a difference but it doesn’t seem any worse than any of the other million things that can happen at least on zealot.
Will say i find it easier to just slide into them and chop them up than actually engage at range, especially because as stated above the director tends to spawn them basically right in front of you half the time.
Tell the truth having just come back from a hiatus since December I’m more annoyed by the dam Tox Bombers being hard to hear and pickout on top of making big green clouds that make seeing anything impossible.
would prefer more melee elites and hordes instead of gunner spam but it’s better than things being super easy like they were before the patch i guess
Practice dodging when you hear the “you’re about to get shot” sound until it becomes instinct. You’ll love how free it makes you feel in open spaces.
No shade here, that’s truthfully how to avoid getting your toughness nuked by random forgotten shooters.
It boils down to the pub for me, either everyone is laser focused on range, or most players think someone else will handle. Roll of the Darktide.
My solution to that is being the person who handles.
exactly, it just takes 2 “handlers” imo for an easy clear.
Come on man, really? Hand on heart, you don’t think we all do that? Anyone who doesn’t dodge on cue won’t get past tier 4s.
I dodge when I hear the trapper snare. I dodge when I hear the growl, the chain axe spin up, the heavy footsteps, the mutie grunt, the sniper target whine, the pox walker behind-you back shot (and I parry as well), and yes, when I hear the gun targeting noise. I dodge when I hear the cat flap and when the dishwasher cycle beep goes off. I’m basically moving through the game like a crab And some weird one where when I’m not scuttling sidewards, I’m run-sliding forwards. Ain’t no-one going to convince me that dodging and sliding are the best ways to keep you safe from bullets, but it’s a game, and I digress
.
You can’t honestly tell me you’ve not had a silent shooter or two appear behind you and let off a volley. It’s strangely tuned to just wipe out your toughness, and not a fleck more. The sound cues don’t always play; or they’re lost in the general maelstrom of sound, which is a problem when things can teleport in behind.
It’s not a game ender - unlike the stealth crusher that has been doing for me of late - but it’s not an aspect I personally like where you’ve got to keep spinning around too to check for enemies in an area you’ve just cleared.
I can. This “silent X” thing is 100% on the client side from some hardware or software incompatibility and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. It doesn’t affect everyone. That’s not saying it shouldn’t be fixed, just that it means not everyone has it.
I do genuinely sympathise if you have that problem, but that problem and the problem of people missing/ignoring individual shooters are different things. I’ve seen the game magically spawn enemies out of thin air plenty of times (literally on top of me, locking me in place once or twice), but never as individuals; It’s always a group. If you’re getting shot in the back by a single shooter, that’s a shooter that someone ignored/forgot/missed.
