New Buffs on Shooters is kinda annoying

I know that Auric Missions are the ones to really challenge you and all but since the buffs on shooters its kinda getting really annoying to the point im not even having fun anymore its just stupid the ammount of shooters spawning and their fire rate its crazy to the point that one left alive can end the run. This is just my opinion although not very elaborated as others but just wanted to express my feelings since the recent buffs.

There’s probably almost a dozen threads commenting on rager/gunner changes.

A lot of people enjoy the changes, since aurics were too easy for a while now. There’s always the option to drop a difficulty, retrain the enemy timings and patterns and then step back up, but I honestly wouldn’t want it to be changed back.

The new gunner changes might even teach the average player to clear out lone gunners and not ignore them for the next horde or pack.

I like that shooters are relevant again - it was very unimmersive for me that veteran guardsmen turning traitor were less dangerous then malnutriciant labourers turning pox walker…

I was personally annoyed at the preponderance of melee and have noticed that with gunners being a threat, my team sticks together more and indirectly covers my back a lot more often.

This is an indirect buff to sniper vet playstyles.

I think this was the best way to introduce difficulty back into the game. Shooters were non-threats because of the combination of enemy nerfs and player survivability increase, and it kinda broke the game balance in the game.

Having more dangerous shooter have so many positives in the game that it’s even hard for me to list them, but I’ll try.

• Shooters being more dangerous makes on-edge, heavy engage melee gameplay a lot more fun.
• Having to pay more attention to your surrounding and positioning is a good thing, recently it wasn’t the case sadly.
• It incentives cleaning up instead of just rushing ahead mindlessly slowing down gameplay in a good way.
• Increases the value of anti-shooter measures including (but not limited to): Using blitz against them, Suppression, Smoke nades, Psyker shields, Anti-shooter specialized ranged weaponry etc.
• Makes trash and (melee) bruisers more dangerous in a way, which is welcome. They won’t be more dangerous by themselves, but bogging you down has a more powerful effect.

I hope with the next patch (when people had time to adjust to the changes) they will give the shooter/gunner type enemies another small buff.
