Shock trooper still bugged on recon lasguns

Both recon lasguns no longer work with the shock trooper talent. Is this a confirmed bug or an intentional change?

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

Talent has not been working since a mid November patch.

Platform (Required):

Steam (PC)

Is this a confirmed bug or a change made that wasn’t in the patch notes?
