Please let us hold down the button to shoot semi-auto guns.
Or add it as a toggle option in the menu.
The ability to hold down the button to fire weapons like the lightest Lasgun variant & the Las pistol at their base Rate of fire without having to repeatedly click would be amazing.
Please consider adding this. It would be a great QoL thing that would really help us with old man hands. Many other games have this feature (like warframe, far far west, Destiny 2 etc). It’s a great quality of life feature for us with messed up hands.
Sorry, but I think the whole point of semi-automatic weapons is that you can’t just hold down a button and mow down every enemy, that’s the trade-off for their high DPS.
The same goes for light attacks with melee weapons; the repetitive action gives you a mobility advantage.
The rate of fire is the same, so balance is intact. The accessibility is greater, so that’s a win for basically everyone.
One of my first traumatic experiences with this game was seeing the ammo supply of the starter Lasgun and thinking “how TF am I expected to click that many times”

Adding a button would not change the dps of the weapon at all - all it does is make it easier on your hands. There’s literally zero downside. Besides most semi auto weapons (most) have big recoil so you wouldn’t mag dump them anyways. It just helps with things like the lightest infantry lasguns etc with low damage, big mags that you click 100 times to empty 1 magazine.
just add autofire mod from nexus.
yea, there are a lot of issues in interface, they needed 2 years to add evasion count for exmple…
but! FS never restrict mods, so most part of ppl solve their problem with them, and that’s why FS do not haste with QoL - modders just doing FS work
wIll be better if all plrs will have native autofire, but do not count on it
