Please let us hold down the button to shoot semi-auto guns.
Or add it as a toggle option in the menu.
The ability to hold down the button to fire weapons like the lightest lasgun varient & the las pistol at their base ROF without having to repeatedly click would be amazing.
Please consider adding this. It would be a great QoL thing that would really help us with old hands.
Why?
The whole point of semi-automatic weapons is that you have to manually pull the trigger to fire; this inconvenience is the price you pay for their high damage per shot.
If you don’t like it, why not just use fully automatic weapons?
Why not ? Almost every other game has a option for this - and some guns it’s just not reasonable - The lightest variant lasgun for example. You have literal thousands of rounds of ammo over the course of a mission, after a few missions your hands are tired compared to the auto weapons. Adding a simple toggle option in the settings disadvantages no-one, gives no ingame advantage (you can’t shoot higher than a gun’s ROF and rarely want to anyways) while giving accessibility to older players or those with damage hands.
