This is unfortunately a case of bad luck. I totally get why you would be disappointed in having to play a lower difficulty to complete your contract. If you have any ideas on how they could potentially change the system, perhaps you could create a new discussion over at Gameplay Feedback?
While I agree it’s in bad taste, it’s also an admission that if you have suggestions or things you want changed, the more complaining we do as a community can lead to positive change.
Vermintide 2 became good over time, hopefully Darktide can follow suit.
They haven’t been ignoring the feedback, it’s that the game released at an awkward date (for reasons you can guess that have very little to do with the salaried devs that write the actual bugfixes) and vacation time is not really something mutable.
like listen man I’m frustrated too but it’s not like this is malice, atleast not from the people who are giving responses here. Fatshark Alan over here is probably just as annoyed at the decision to release over christmas as me and you are, same as the devs who now have a huge backlog of complaints and bugs to fix, but you’ll probably understand why they can’t say that.
The responses given here may seem upsetting in contrast to the game getting no updates, but once you think about it a little and understand why things are this way and who is actually responding here vs who is actually making those decisions you will understand that bitching at these fellas is pretty misplaced
