Scab Plasma Feedback

Due to how powerful the Scab Plasma Gunner right now. I do hope in a future patch he gets additional audio cues such as Increase volume for his voice lines something akin like the Scab Flamer or Bomber or louder audio cues when he is about to attack using the Plasma Gun or when he fired his Plasma Gun.

Side Note:
If possible like the Scab Flamer(Attacking his Fuel Tanks kill him immediatly), we have some gimmicks where we can damage their weapon and they explode or just like the players they explode but extremly rare, 5% chance his gun overheats and blow up on his face.

Yeah, like if you stagger them while they’re firing.

The current event is not accurate of how strong the Plasma Gunner actually is, because the Plasma Gunners usually spawn in clusters with a bunch of Snipers and a Captain during the event.

The Plasma Gunner himself is not really that bad. There already is a hard counter to the Plasma Gunner: rush him and he’ll go into melee for easy takedown. Break LoS and now he can’t shoot you.

That said, louder audio cues and/or another visual cue similar to the Scab Sniper laser would be nice.

I like him a lot.

All of my losses yesterday have been from groups of this dude.

I haven’t noticed any voice lines or audio cues from him, though.

is this guy a new special or just an elite with a different weapon?

As far as I know, Scab Plasma Gunners are elites.
They have carapace armor heads and flak armor bodies, like the Mauler, and on Damnation/Auric, they have 1900 health.

From what I’ve seen in several runs, they are immune to suppression, another user states that they deal 123 health damage after breaking your toughness, and when they shoot you, they apply a debuff that reduces your toughness replenishment for ~2 seconds.

If this is the case then I don’t see the need for any audio cue like a special. Specials should be distinct disablers and hence the added threat with an audio cue, elites are see and react/shoot.

Plus with the forums complaining on the regular about audio cues, and the sounds issues, why would we add more audio clutter to the game?

Because shotgunners, gunners, ragers, and maulers all have unique voice lines and audio cues that signal what they’re doing and when they’re about to perform an action.
Shotgunners make a loud cocking sound when they’re preparing to shoot.
Gunners have distinct voice lines and extremely loud guns.
Ragers call out loud taunts when they rush you.
Maulers rev their chainaxes as they approach and prepare to attack.

Plasma Gunners reuse the captain charge sound, and, especially in the event, is very hard to hear when there’s a horde, and their red glow when they charge a shot is obscured by the forced Ventilation Purge/Power Supply Interruption, making it exceedingly hard to tell when they’re about to attack.

Agree and those audio sounds are fine, I’m referring to a spawn cue that are unique to special types, I should have been more specific.

Plus they have a plasma weapon, is the weapon difficult to see? (I havnt played against them yet, obviously)

They fire it at the hip, so if there’s something in your way, like a horde, more elites, or an Ogryn enemy, it can be quite hard to see sometimes.

I personally don’t find the plasma weapon difficult to see, but I won’t speak for my dead teammates… they know what they did.

There’s a particle trail leading to the gunners after they fire, it’s really hard to ignore without considerable effort.

That’s the issue atm, at least with the event spawns. Haven’t seen how these dudes are in regular missions yet.

Yeah, introducing them into an event with guaranteed vision impairment was certainly a choice

Alright I’ve been face tanking these guys as shieldgryn and I’m pretty sure they do have a prefire tell but their charge up sfx is too subtle and also similar to helbore.

They fire from the hip yet have better accuracy than snipers. Lol
