like, why tf does the game put teammates respawns at random beacons? if your teammate(s) go down, and you’re standing at one of those beacons, or whatever tf they are, they should appear at that one. not at one 1 or 2 checkpoints away.
if it’s gonna be stupid, at least make it consistent and not consistently inconsistent. it’s not even players ‘causing failure a lot of the times anymore, it’s the game’s shoddy design screwing us over. half the time i don’t even know if stuff is intended or just bugged out lol
I assume the idea behind this is so that whenever you are next to a spawn point, every player below half health or missing wounds doesn’t immediately commit suicide to get it back.
It can certainly be frustrating at times but I understand why it is the way it is.
Having to do an entire event alone before you can revive downed players is an absolute peak.
I also still sometimes see players in a close revive spots getting all the sudden teleported to the opposite side of the map.
Is that why it suddenly feels worse? After 1200hrs I have a pretty good idea of where the respawns are on each map and it’s most definitely not consistent as it used to be - we used to know to back up from a spawn so that a downed team mate would respawn there, now they could respawn anywhere.
in the coolant fixing mission the respawn points once remained up above the ring elevator, the teammates were stuck kneeling upstairs unreachable because we foolishly assumed they would have respawned somewhere at the bottom of the elevator, there is definitely problems left to be ironed out in the respawns
Best part is when players spawn close by and you successfully get to the spawn point, and RIGHT BEFORE you reach them they inexplicably get teleported to a later spawn point
If they tried, it didn’t stick. Had a dude completely skip an event respawn point during a maelstrom yesterday, and we hadn’t even made it to the event yet.
Yuuuup had that happen to me today. Everyone else died and I ran circles around the room like a madman slowly picking off the highest threats and as soon as I started over to the group to revive them they teleported to the next point. They all quit when that happened.
