Relic Blade has 2 empty Blessing Spots.... which should be added?

Tbh, I feel this weapon too strong.
However far from the level of Purgatus, DS4 etc.

That’s why I don’t quote it as OP… but if everything OP was tuned down, RB should then be nerfed.

Everything should be at level of a combat axe. Either by mobility, attack speed or damages. CA should be the standard.

That’s not what squishy means. Supposing you had only 10 toughness and 10 health, even if you could automatically regenerate health and toughness from coherency in a literal nanosecond, most things would kill you in one hit, thus making you squishy.

So squishy generally means how much dmg reduction you can stack at any one time, how big your total toughness and health-pools are (all of which contribute to how big a hit you can survive without dying). In that respect I think most would consider Hive Scum the most squishy.

That’s still not all that contributes to squishiness of course, and the extend to which you can generate iframes (invulnerability) against melee and/or ranged attacks (how often and how easily you can generate a state of being invulnerable against an incoming hit, like scum dodge tanking) definitely matters a lot too.

A few other mechanisms like being able to completely lose aggro and go invisible (like shroudfield), or Zealot’s Until Death talents also contribute to longevity in high pressure situations. Or by carrying a shield and keeping it up to entirely ignore hits.

Speaking of playing melee, in general psyker is and remains the most squishy and at risk from death to enemy melee swings, despite Scum typically having even less overall damage reduction and health/toughness pools (due to their incredible dodge-tanking they’re often the last person alive).

There are other aspects, like being able to stun or push back every enemy around you should you end up cornered in a sticky situation. VoC, chorus, bull rush, and taunt are all get out of jail free card there for those classes playing melee that you don’t have as psyker, which also contribute to longevity/deaths per game.

No. Everyone does it. Including you.

Don’t care what they say and it doesn’t have to be wow. My statement is true.

Those should disappear from the game.

I don’t use Chorus as Z. Also as Psyker you have VS if you wanna compare.

I’m sorry i wasn’t aware you know me. Stop judging ppl by your prism.

Yeah bc u know better than anyone else…

Cool, but until they do they contribute to why psyker is more squishy.

And VS is good, though nowhere near as effectice since it’s a frontal cone, does less overall stagger, monstrosities ignore it, and it doesn’t generate any toughness (much less yellow).

You’re human. Saying you don’t compare yourself to others is sort of like saying you’re not a social-animal. A ridiculous statement. You probably get your hair cut or shave, shower and wear deoderants, wash your clothes or replace it when it starts looking worn, etc.

The fact that you even bother replying to me and putting smilie reactions on my posts is a reflection of you being a member of social species that absolutely cares about how you appear to others, so much so that you take pains to try to communicate your state of mind.

Don’t kid yourself. It’s not working.

No just the ones I know better than.

In all honesty, I don’t care of this…
But I would REALLY want that Psyker is tuned down and put in likne with other classes. So that they work on damages part… like soulblaze
3 years I wait that they address this problem

They kill so many things that nothing can approach them (for skilled guys) and don’t even need a melee weapon… and so the toughness regen is really high.
So @PedroPoz is not wrong…

And? I never use chorus - is that mean i shouldn’t play melee style ?

I’m not social at all. I despise human kind and avoid contact with majority of ppl. I dunno what is so ridiculous about it. I cut my hair and shave on my own - i shower and use deodorants bc i don’t want to smell. And i often use worn out clothes. How about that? I am on this forum bc i work i small office, most of the time alone and the time flows faster…

Typical

This is a discussion about melee psyker, not soulblaze. I agree inferno staff and soulblaze builds are an issue (as are many screen wiping builds). But on the assumption we removed or nerfed soulblaze(mostly perious combustion and venting shriek) and inferno staff, and you instead played a melee psyker, what is the “correct” performance of psyker here?

Pedro claims the sort of play you can achieve with an obscurus force sword, without soulblaze/venting shriek/perious combustion, possibly even without scriers gaze, is just fine and would bring psyker in line with other classes.

My claim is this would constitute a gigantic nerf to psyker that would make them objectively worse on all measures of class performance compared to all other classes. You would be more squishy AND do less damage. But apparently I need to just get over the feeling that I have to at the very least contribute equally to the team, if not do more damage if I am also more squishy.

Thanks but no thanks. He’s not right, and that doesn’t fly.

In fact… the topic is Relic Blade

Not sure Psyker has it

I have said that you can do well with swords other than Deimos MkIV if i remember correctly.

I have written it grammatically incorectly - but still you can tell what i mean - that i occasionally take illisi and do well ;]

In all honesty, I love the obscurus because… this is not an op weapon. The move set is not allowing you to use power to kill large wave of enemies (yes I think to Illisi).
I believe you’re right… Without all these options, Psyker cannot record high DPS

But let’s be honest. Who avoids everything that is strong on Psyker?

The topic of the exchange I was having with Pedro. You’d do well to follow the replies back and forth back to what first made me engage with this thread.

Exactly. You’d go from best to worst. Not on-par. Worst.

Not me. Most of it, but not all. I like to play FGS without soulblaze and without even scriers gaze.

But the person I first replied to in this thread wanted to also nerf FGS and bring it in line with other psyker force swords. I assume that means you don’t do more damage running a FGS build than running a deimos or obscurus sword.

My question then is, what do you bring to the team? Assuming all else held equal, you can’t tank, have comparatively little utility, is more squishy, and you’d do the least damage of all classes.

Do I need to take you through the entire thread again or can you just… go back over the entire exchange? You’re bound to run into replies that already address your numerous misunderstandings.

No reason to rehash our argument, and I don’t need you to re-characterize what you think of my replies in your own colorful metaphors. But thanks anyway.

Not needed.
I let you discuss, however I feel that you should open a new thread… because I assure you that the tittle is not about psykers.

Clearly it was because then you’d have saved yourself a host of irrelevant replies (like complaining about soulblaze, and the mismatch between thread title and my exchange with Pedro).

I trust you’re up to speed now?
