Well I think this will be as close as I can get to a kasrkin
That is absolutely fookin mint
That would be Fatshark. It’s an incredibly cheap move since you pay once for the model creation and simply adjust albedo color/metalness values on the materials.
A single guy could churn out hundreds of recolors in a single day since all the work, with modeling, unwrapping, allocating materials and textures etc has already bin done.
This is literally what I had interns do to keep them busy on 3D projects in my agency days. “Here’s a production ready model, gimme 10 variations so we can show the client some different flavors”
Oh how I hate Fatshark these days.
From the glorious heights of decent, fair priced cosmetics in Vt2, to this overpriced slop. I’d rather we go back to the steady pace of cosmetics we had back then. Not many, but each had some effort.
Anybody taken a moment to imagine the kind of enviroment the Darktide cosmetics are being made in?
Unironically a Chinese sweatshop.
No, I’m not joking, it’s a random Chinese company that’s credited for doing a lot of the cosmetic work.
Looks great but the unarmored right leg kills me
so very cool
The grim reality that I imagined too.
Makes me sick, it really does.
