Ransacked Route

Initially I just refused to play it because it says no pick-ups.

This is a lie. There is actually more pickups than in regular missions.

I’ve had no trouble with my group but then again we basically speedran the maps as there is nothing to loot anyway. I can see that people without 3k hours would not enjoy not having a single heal due to bad RNG. I mean they could’ve at least spawn you in with two med stimms and one med kit to avoid never getting a single heal.

The one thing it archives though is that people play a bit more careful.

I’ve enjoyed this for the couple missions I’ve played. I think it’s a fun idea for a mission modifier. With that being said, I think the average player struggles with this modifier. I also haven’t seen it drop grenades, so there’s a strong incentive to use recharging blitz on this along with ammo recovery talents or Psyker staves. They could be a little more generous with the drops, most of which seem to be crafting mats or stimms (which makes this yet modifier where Hive Scum get shafted).

EDIT: It does drop grenades. I just hadn’t found any in the first couple matches.

The attrition is a lot worse than it usually is on aurics. I’ve only ever seen a max of 3 green juices drop. Not as bad for me, but I can see a lot of folk struggling.

The RNG is actually insane on this. I’ve only seen grenades once and while we had rounds with not a single med stimm, we had a round where we had 5 med stimms during one mid-event.

I love this event, it’s so fun. It actually shows who is a good teammate and who is not. Since resources are so limited it’s extra important to stimm people / give ammo to those that need it the most.

There’s a new modifier? Is there a new event? That might be why Havoc was so quiet last night then lol

Why is there no announcement?

We had 2 runs of it on Auric, both had 30% less enemies than usual for Auric and the composition of them was very forgiving, it was extremely boring and lacking any form of challenge whatsoever, both runs were done in 17 minutes.

As a matter of fact i might have cried a bit during the second run out of pure boredom…

It’s fine. Hilarious even, it’s another solid skill-check showing how main body of DT players is horrible at skill-based damage reduction and setting priorities right when choosing targets. The only thing is required here is to add a setting to QP to avoid event missions when you are sick of them, so that you wouldn’t need to stop using QP for a week or two.

Surprisingly I’ve been enjoying it somewhat. In a usual Auric run, corruption and damage taken don’t really matter unless you go down. But here it’s kind of important due to the scarcity of resources. And it’s very fast-paced too.

It relies too much on chance.
I’ve only seen grenades once. Medical syringes have dropped about five times.
After the battle, the whole team is on the brink of death, but there are three damage boosters lying around, and a box of ammo dropped from the demon host.
Another event designed for a single character.
Only this time, it’s the Zealot.
I’ve completed four missions so far. In three of them, I ended up alone sooner or later.

pretty fun event , the attrition is nice for a change

It’s definitely something you specifically need to gear/specialize for, and I think it’s a good mode to test yourself and your build to see how long you last when supplies have dried up.

What??

Has Fatshark confirmed this post? Maybe the current situation where almost only materials are dropping isn’t actually intended?

ill send this here as well just in case

I thought it was great and enemy drops is way better than running around opening chests!

I thought it was interesting.. no loot boxes mean taking a much more direct approach to getting through the maps.

What do you mean enemy drops? Enemies don’t drop stuff in Darktide. The description says no pickups so there is nothing you can pick up. Otherwise it wouldn’t say that.

elites got a chance to drop stims, bosses drop either ammo or med crate.

so they “drop”

pickups are pre-placed items that are already present at matches start.

yep, but does anyone know if they tweaked the damage you get on auric? never was so unfazed by getting hit, took mostly chip damage and a green stim max at most.

seems ogryn full health aint so bad after all

dunno about gear since karsolas&rumbler are my default loadout, like doom if im set in a certain weapon and like it, i use it throughout the game.

“specialize” id say, like above, full health 3x 21% wouldnt hurt but unlike

id go and say dont trust a rando’, ever.
be quick on your feet, secure the green stim and med crate for yourself and the match is smooth sailings.

been testing hound, shock troop and high intensity and while only one bloke left throughout a match, if the big man stands the match keeps going :joy:

usually the rest goes down once or twice anyways, trusting them with resources is a gamble not in your favor.
stim those that pull their weight at airlocks and places of high stress engagements and dont expect to get any in return yourself. :man_shrugging:

if anything this event forces people to be even more self reliant, “help yourself then god helps you as well” it seems

besides,

thats a good thing since after 3 1/2 years of detouring for crates etc that puts inexperienced folk into a dead-end and eventually pickup situation, maybe one or two learn to keep up and get accustomed to an efficient pace.

then again…
