First barrel - 54 hp lost. Second barrel 11 hp lost. Same match. Can someone explain this?

proximity to the explosion, i think? the knockback seems to not scale as strongly but the damage scales based on proximity VERY strongly.

Randomized barrel damage?

Can confirm that the damage is scaled based on the distance to the explosion.
