Psyker Tests - BB, Scrier's, Peril reduction

Hi all!

Inspired by the patch, yesterday I started playing around with BB and got into another one of my ADHD-fueled testing sprees. Since I actually learned quite a few new & interesting things, I thought I’d share! Hopefully this will spark some interesting discussions and discoveries like the last one did! And ofc, hope there’s something new here for some of you people.

The pics contain the data & results, but I’ll add a few bullets after each about what I found most interesting, or any remaining questions I might have (note: I’m not entirely sure what’s new / changed, since this is the first time I’ve done a detailed BB test like this).

BB & Scrier’s test

  • The +dmg from perks, blessings & talents has always been wonky likely due to hidden variables and different order of operations. The real bonus dmg is far from expected, yet is the same across the board vs. different armor types. If anyone knows what’s going on here and can elaborate, I’d love to learn!
  • BB secondary is amazing now! I’m sure at some point it used to be just slower & more expensive, but now it has a skill component: if you don’t lock with primary until moment of impact, the only cost is that extra 1s charge time. Since you can slide while charging, it can now be a fantastic tool whenever you can afford that extra second, or want to prioritize instant hits to avoid wasting the 2s on targets taken by teammates, even without Empowered Psionics.
  • To elaborate: BB secondary should now likely be used by default, unless you know the target will still be alive in 2s for primary instead!
  • Scrier’s +10% dmg really is on top of the stacking buff up to +40% total! But only when Scrier’s is active. I also somehow always understood Precognition as a separate buff altogether, but it’s simply a straight upgrade to the basic Scrier’s stacking buff!
  • Finesse = crit and/or weakspot dmg. I did not anticipate BB not benefiting from it via Precognition, since it always hits weakspots. Is this a bug or intended?

Peril Efficiency test

  • While some manner of diminishing returns was a given, all in all they’re more efficient than I had expected. I wonder how this compares to the diminishing returns from toughness dmg reduction talents?

Remaining questions:

If any of you know the answers to these I’d love to know!

  • Does anyone know if BB benefits from Disrupt Destiny (+15% dmg, +30% crit dmg, +37.5% WS dmg at 15 stacks), since DD at least specifies weakspot dmg separately and not just as finesse?
  • For that matter, how do the different dmg bonuses from Disrupt Destiny stack? If you get a crit weakspot hit, does it get all 3 bonuses? If yes, how are they calculated? DD doesn’t work in psykhanium so I can’t test this.

What’s BB?
