Pressing your ability hotkey resets your held heavy attack to light

I was testing on Zealot post-patch in meatgrinder practice mode.

If you are holding a heavy melee attack and press F for your shroudfield/chastise, and then immediately release your attack, you don’t get a heavy attack but instead the first light attack of your light chain. This was not the case pre-patch, and is very annoying, especially for shroudfield builds that want to double dip heavy strikes. Also, even if your ability is on cooldown, this bug happens.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):

  1. Play Zealot.
  2. Hold heavy melee attack.
  3. Press shroudfield/chastise (doesn’t matter if it’s on cooldown).
  4. Release attack immediately after pressing ability.

This is an old bug iirc. Guess it’s back again because FS sucks at version control. With your permission, adding it to the Book of Grudges.

At least it’s a known bug. Kinda ruins the fluidity of my gameplay, but you can’t have crap in the grim dark.
