Please explain assassin/hook rats/leechers to me

well yes ofcourse, but op claimed you can’t counter disablers with skill, wich i hope everyone agrees is just plain wrong

Hopefully in newer updates they go more like Darktide in terms of how easy the disablers are to escape. Dying just because of some janky noclip is really boring.

This. Especially the assassins. Jumping through obstacles, insta-teleports, weird “tumbling” after being hit, extreme speed. They stand out among other disablers for me.

What could really grind my gears was when they missed you, hit the wall, bounced back and teleported on top of you. Or you dodged them, they landed 1m behind you and immediately jumped again. By immediately I mean literally 2 frames later.

I cannot also count how many times I pushed the assasin back with well-timed push attack but still got pinned down and lost a good chunk of HP due to latency. Assassin got pushed back and teleported away before my char could even stand back. Dodging and pushing is the way to go, but sometimes you just need to push, as there is no space to dodge.

Still, as you and other forum members have said, 95% of the time you can counter disablers through combination of skill, proper positioning and experience.
