Anyone with pattern recognition figured that one out sometime around March.
You forgot to mention this:
Wow. So its now live.
I guess we shall see how this all looks later when I get home tonight. Back to the learning curve.
Actually made Kerillian 2H sword now a very viable option. Should be quite interesting to see how it plays against armor now. Its one of those weapons I always wished just worked better in general. Now it seems it got a lot of very sick buffs! Looks like we wont see just glaive or dual dagger players anymore. On paper, 2H sword just got launched up to near the top of choice melee weapons from way in the bottom tier.
Natural bond trait is SO OP now. Holy crap! So the OPness is now live. I dont see why any Legend player wouldnt all be running NB now lol i am a bit surprised that such a huge game changer was introduced into the live game but it its here and live soâŚ
But its all exciting fun stuff, I for one am looking forward to relearning the classes and weapons in action⌠should make for very interesting PUBGs
considering it drains at the speed of light and Hand has been buffed, I still see no reason to switch off running Hand on every single career. You basically get two heals and clear two wounds for the price of one, no proc required. Itâs hysterical. Some other loser can carry the book.
Does natural bond give you real health when you use healing items with it again or is it still just temp health you get from healing items?
Wow just wow, take temp hp on ult talent huh, so 30% cdr gone, add that to the +20 sec nerf to career skill, that will not cut it on legend not even close, not too mention how much more boring the spec is. My success rate on solo legend (pre patch) and only on 2 lvls could I achieve solo legend, (righteous stand and the screaming bell) was about 25% for me. However I still enjoyed the challenge and reveled in the power that pyro had esp on the horde mobs.
So satisfying to get crit heat reduction to proc when i was close to burnout, so that i could lvl the rats with another barrage of right click nukes sooo much power soo much fun, sometimes i would be cackling with glee! And yes the power that pyro had was impressive, it needs to be, legend is no joke. Even with that power i would still mostly fall, But i had a fighting chance and it was really fun seeing the spec that i created myself come to fruition. Donât even know what âwigglemancerâ is, this is my first time on the forum. When you been playing a game for such time you develop your own strategies based off your own experiences (trial and error ftw!) its the ultimate way to play, for me anyway.
Telling me to learn to properly vent when you know so little about me and my playstyle is silly, as for mindless spamming, in legend yes I spam like a mofo but it is far from mindless, the right click nuke burns ur allies and must be spammed judiciously
. That is one of the reasons that I would solo over pugs, pugs get all narky when you burn them. That and my lvl 30 well equipped bots were actually far better than most of the pug playerbase. Shout out to the elf bot who would on occasion eclipse me in special kills most impressive!
Good for you that you find all these nerfs to pyro to be fun, you will be able to still enjoy the game, but there can be no denying that legend % chance of success has been severely diminished with pyro. Thats what nerfs do lower % chance of success in a game.
The main issue for me is the fun factor and the % chance of legend success with pyro, it is so low now on both counts that the game is not worth the time anymore . As pyro and in legend mode even when i was with friends my allies were quite happy for my ability to utterly destroy mobs.
It wasnât just me that was capable of such destruction, my son used BH to great effect and would often beat me on the damage board in some respects same for the Way-watcher very powerful class indeed. Yet even with all that power we would still wipe because legend mode is a harsh mistress and I adore it for being that way.
In retrospect even though Iâm very upset about these changes, I would like to thank FAT SHARK for the awesome gaming experiences I have had with V2, especially my favourite the pyro. Only last weekend my best friend and my son got together at my place to return to V2. We had a blast together, the banter of us and our chars in game was truly memorable. And thankfully no amount of future nerfs will ever change those moments.
The Pyro shall be forever remembered as the emperors finest!
Hmm maybe i did not understand how it works too well. I didnt play the Beta patch . Its all new to me. The way I read how it works sounded OP but I dont know I would have to play and find out in the live game.
- Natural Bond - No longer prevents using healing items. (So no more being stuck in grey⌠can heal yourselfâŚwhich means, you dont need to wait for someone else to find you a bandage)
- Natural Bond - Changed from 2 health every 10 seconds to 1 health every 5 seconds. (Sounds like this is legit green health but you need a health pot to get out of grey if you are downedâŚ)
I am understanding now that maybe these descriptions are worded poorly leading to confusion about exact mechanics
They had to nerf the beloved Pyros putting team work and team play back into focus. Its all a part of balancing I believe. Kinda hard to make everyone happy. As your preferred class, quite understandable. But it kind of makes sense doesnât it. Pyros were OP as it was comparitively, I think its part of the evolution
The health you heal ends up white. The only source of green is your regen. Unless they did something gloriously dumb and removed that, in which case why.
How Natural Bond works now is this: 1 green health every 5 seconds, but if you heal yourself you get temp health. If someone else heals you (either with heal share talent or by using a medkit on you), you get real health back. So healing yourself is still not very effective, but it will reset downs, at least.
Thats weird⌠are you sure?
So you drink a healing pot with NB and you gain temporary health? I didnt understand it or its not worded very well
actually I am silly didnât read enough. Needed to catch this:
- Natural Bond - Reworked: Provides health regen, healing yourself with healing draughts and first aid kits only heals for temporary health. Still clears any wounds.
- Natural Bond - No longer prevents using healing items. (but healing items grants temp health⌠although clears wounds)
- Natural Bond - Changed from 2 health every 10 seconds to 1 health every 5 seconds. (Sounds like this is legit green health but you need a health pot to get out of grey if you are downedâŚwhich clears you from grey, and also adds temp health)
That explains it. But thats also still a vast improvement. With careers like kerillian WS that will stack the regen, NB becomes a very good option. The only change is the faster temp health decay. Can that be offset by the regen mechanics of real health in action?
Yes, NB is very good if you are confident in avoiding damage or are very tanky. It also stacks really well with Waystalker, like you said. Regarding the regen mechanics and temp health . . . the decay on temp health is REAL. I think itâs like 2 a second when it kicks in. Some classes are built to be able to get a good buffer (generally tankier classes), but most classes will be short on it. WS among them. The fast regen will really help, but youâre gonna have to play more conservatively with WS. I think Spear fits her very well, since the reach lets her stay in safety and poke.
Generally the thrust of the temp health/dodge changes is this: Itâs easier and more consistent to avoid getting hit, but youâre punished more heavily for getting hit. You might be able to get a nice buffer over a horde, but it will be gone soon. Mostly the white health will just help you avoid excess damage from a stray hit during a horde.
About the patch in general, I see a lot of people upset itâs going live, but I do feel itâs about time. The game IS far more balanced and fun in this state than it has been. The only change I donât really like is how hard the Dual Daggers got hit with the nerf bat. You have to invest massively to get a OHKO headshot with charged attack. A 10% reduction in damage would (I think) have been more reasonable so itâs still achievable; as it is, itâs now Kerillianâs worst weapon. It just has no real role. Thatâs not to say you canât use it; I used it earlier tonight on a Legend run (and won). But you really notice its reduced power, and it doesnât have a lot to compensate for that.
Oh, well. Itâs nice having every single other weapon of hers being good!
Canât wait to try the 2H sword. On paper the changes make it sound SO BUFFED
Itâs very strong. With some +damage (not sure how much off-hand) you can one-shot headshot Stormvermin with the charged stab. They fixed the long pause after the push-stab, too. Itâs definitely a very strong weapon. You can also hold the first charged attack infinitely now, which really helps you line up a headshot.
A lot of people have said this patch made the game easier, between the dodge changes and the buffs to weapons - itâs true, really, but the game is also more fair.
I do hope we get new enemy types at some point that will bring back more challenge.
But right now I am just pleased with our weapon variety.
Cool. I happened to get both Veteran (red nativeâŚ) 2H swords, both different skins, typically they are shelved because they werenât so good in practice. More like collection pieces. Lovely to see them up ranked now to one of her best weapons. Stoked to try them now!
Something wrong with Shade crossbow. Crosshair is too big.
So basically there are bugs even in the patch notes themselves⌠Please, make the next patch a bug fix one. Pretty-pretty please?
Some of these patch notes are still inaccurate and include changes that were removed in Balance Beta 4. For example:
Brace of Pistols for Saltzpyre
- Reduced damage versus infantry, monsters and frenzy by 8%.
- Increased damage versus armor by 37%.
- Increased stagger power by 45%.
- increased ammo by 5
Slightly increased damage on close range
Increased damage on long range - Reduced spread of primary shot.
- Increased spread of secondary shot.
- Reduced movement speed slow while aiming from 65% reduction to 15%.
The bolded items are no longer in effect.
Have you played the BETA?
Ahahaha great.
Iâm so glad that they took their time.
Played an hour ago. 1h axe cpmpletely out of hand, traits outright not working on imp bow and grudgeraker, not a single useful trait for shotguns, shotgun bardin dead anyway (man those evil op veterans needed a nerf).
Oh god Iâm looking forward to the next recoloring of cosmetics to finish this masterpiece.
