You can’t tell other people to not care about cosmetics?
It was an advertised feature, with a much larger UI tab than in V1, implying it was going to be a big feature. People hounded cosmetics in V1, myself to this day.
You cant just tell people not to care about them just because the drop rates are abysmal and there isnt the quests and contracts board YET. Lots of reports of the board to be added later so evidently it’s a problem for players and developers alike.
I really like the fact that the F2-option was removed since it prevents twitchy Salzpyres from running ahead or falling off cliffs. It’s a team effort, not a Rambo game.
So far silent patrols, ghost hitting, geometry changes block previously cromulent jumps (looking at you, ATG 2nd grim), funky weapon switching. It kinda feels like a previous version but with updated maps and voice lines and some balance changes.
ye i personnaly pre ordered a dedicated server Vermintide, tired of even micro lag in V1 that spoil the fun. Then there s so much bug, crash that needed a fix and it takes time (i guess)…
but ye DEDICATED SERVER AS PRIORITY PLEASE
I think he’s suggesting more along the lines that the number of bugs/issues/gaps and things left incomplete or not-yet-working is abnormal for a “finished” full-release game these days on steam, even when compared to several Early Access titles. This is of particular concern to Pre-order customers, who invested based on faith or on the assumption that the game would at least meet the level of functionality demonstrated by its predecessor. No sane person would anticipate this to be a major step back in a majority of areas from the original.
As a pre-order customer, I can say that the issues I’ve observed here have continuously fallen well outside what I would consider normal/acceptable for a launch title. I get the impression the dev was aware of the issues but knew most people wouldn’t experience them until well after the refund window had closed. Combined with the lack of correction to the most glaring issues mentioned here and on reddit, I feel taken advantage of so far and would currently have to think twice before buying again.
Buggy releases do happen, of course, and of course the dev will always do post-launch patches but the situation here seems a touch excessive thus far in comparison and the relatively opaque dev relationship doesn’t help.
id be happy if they fixed the Shade special not working and the freaking overheating issue for the comp.
Seriously no matter what I try my comp feels like a sauna playing this game
You’re absolutely nuts. Put away that conspiracy hat for a second and actualy think.
There is a far more logical and sinister reason why it got released so early.
Here is a hint, it has nothing to do with FatShark.
Nothing in there suggesting any sort of conspiracy, so not sure where you got that. Regardless what the reason was, there’s is still the name on the product. They knew the state of the game.
Well, whether it’s money available or contractual obligations and a potential interest of shareholders, there probably was a reason. And when it comes to buggy releases, I’m certainly used to worse. Sure, most games are not that buggy, but this isn’t anything more than mildly irritating.
Dude, nobody’s complaining about bugs. The main complaint is about the lack of endgame progression and content. As simple as that. That’s one of the reasons people call this game unfinished, not because of some bugs here and there.
Also half of the promised content is not there, and half of ingame content isn’t working, which I wouldn’t call a bug because that is exactly what being unfinished means.
I agree with you that a lot of the promised content isn’t there right now. But on the other hand, you also have to consider how much easier it was to hit end game in vermintide 1. I do think that deeds should have a much higher drop rate to add some more challenges to do, and maybe give them better rewards. I’d consider most of the end game in v1 to be the achievements or playing with the QoL mod (which we will hopefully get for v2). Other than that, it’s just playing for fun.
Personally, I loathe getting deeds, some of them are…nigh undoable (like back to basics on champion/legend) or silly combos like nurgle rot and no pick ups (which is another ‘undoable’ as you take constant damage, but can’t heal) or sudden death/abduction (don’t go down, period) or perhaps ‘Black Furs on Parade’ and either ‘release the slaves’ or ‘harder better faster stronger’ the first just spams elites at you (even in hordes) and the later combo means not only do you have a ton of elites but they are durable as chaos warriors, and have about half the health of a ‘tank’ enemy (bile troll/rat ogre/etc.)
Honestly I’d much rather have had an extra character added to the game than this deed system
