Path of Redemption - NOW LIVE!

That’s a very kind interpretation.

Especially since Fatshark promised otherwise.

But then again we all know what a Fatshark promise is worth.

Literally never happy.

I got like 40 penances when I logged in. There’s plenty more to earn. Where’s the problem?

Yes, I do agree with you here :). I would’ve much rather seen crafting happen first.

Honestly, what FS should’ve done is just release both of these at the same time. Penances and new cosmetic rewards to rope players back in, crafting fixes to make them stick around longer.

If Fatshark said previous play would count towards penances, then previous play should count towards penances.

Where’s the confusion?

Where was this said exactly, that you’d unlock everything automatically (e.g. like the new backstabs out of coherency with Loner penance)?

Edit: also I just realized you don’t “spend” points, you just have them and unlock everything that costs UP to your max penance points…soooooo I’m unlocking almost half of everything right now.

Potentially we would have then been left with 8-12 months of nothing since December, but yes. If they developed at a quicker pace, these two should have launched together.

Riveting gameplay lads. I honestly reinstalled for this?

You either realize that this game was made with more emphasis on ranged combat or not. I’m not even a big veteran fanboi but this nerf just makes no sense. No buff to other auras, bothing. Making a trash talent out of the only good one will not make the other 2 garbage auras better.

Uninstall and get back to Helldivers :+1:

Itemization is also a much bigger beast than Penance are, of there is an issue with the Penance “balance” it’s not difficult to change it again without affecting other systems, but change the Itemization to far 1 way or another and it can just avalanche into other problems

I’m not a fan of the Scavenger 5s cooldown.

The Bolter has a hard enough time as it is, on Veteran. Combine that with the nerfs they gave to Executioners stance (last winter), and we have a very annoying situation. I need to keep killing elites at range to keep my stance active, but I now also need to give a 5 second window before I can regain the shot fired.

Can you see the problem here?

I feel at this point you need to integrate Scavenger at the base level of Vet for all aura upgrades or full rebalance of ammo drops through a mission or have all classes have a innate ammo regen method like melee kills on elites/specials and/or delete the aura.

Its very apparent youre only trying to make the best option worse vs the alternatives. But you arent gonna beat free ammo from doing what you are already doing.

Nah… Wake me up when there’s new content to play.
Played the same maps and weapons a thousand times months ago and won’t start playing the same stuff again because of some penances.

Does anyone know if there is a way to preview rewards like titles?
What do i get for this penance?
Nothing shows when i mouse over that blue box.

Edit:
Also, this scroll bar in the penance menu is a bit too narrow.
I have pretty good aim but it is not easy to grab this bar in order to drag it.

Hoooo boy some kinda wacky stuff here but upon futher consideration overall pretty good.

Pretty reasonable, and pretty conservative nerfs. Should make Ogryn a touch less braindead durable but still very easy to keep healthy. Sure fair enough.

I don’t know if a second nerf was warranted but it’s minor enough I doubt it’ll make a difference to anyone’s talent point investment.

Sounds actually kinda nutty but it’s a short enough duration anyway so sure why not.

Nice for stubber fans, should help a bit, stubber balance itself could probably use a look in though.

I think those might be the exact same numbers I suggested for it lol, so yeah good change IMO. Honestly could probably go a bit higher still but that’s about a 14% effective ammo increase on average, and the potential extra crits that comes with it will be nice. Still not the most ranged weapon agnostic keystone, the smaller mag weapons tend to find it too inconsistent to be worth, offering an alternate proc condition that lets you store a lucky bullet would be pretty sweet, could be an alternate final node to MBLO perhaps.

Honestly whatever, between it cooling down while active, duration extensions, and tactical awareness it had no uptime issues to begin with. What it needs more is less talent point tax, more incentive for Bigger They Are, or just a little more oomph at base.

Pretty nice. Genuinely makes me consider giving MF another go. Still wish it didn’t basically reset if I want to go into melee for a while but this should feel more forgiving now.

Sure why not.

Lol. Lmao even. This questionably needed the first buff. Now it’s an always pick. Insane value for both melee and ranged play. Based FS???

5s might be a bit needlessly long, 3 would be enough to mostly prevent crazy bursts of ammo regen. Fair enough though, still one of if not the best aura in the game no doubt.

Kinda weird mix of changes. Falling off one at a time is great, and completely understand reducing duration to compensate, but that’s a pretty crazy duration reduction. Lingering is no less obligatory, probably moreso cause 4s to spot and kill your next target to keep stacks rolling sounds honestly pretty unpleasant. Will have to play with it to see how uptime feels.

This is whatever but the fix to cooldown reduction working for it is awesome. WS + SG is probably a wonky combo anyway but excited to try some stuff now they finally work together.

Kinda weird and seems redundant but maybe this hits important breakpoints I don’t know about? Doubling down on smite as a damage tool with EP seems super wonky but I dunno maybe that’s enough bonus damage for it to actually clear stuff OK now? Not that that’s something it should probably do but OK.

Somewhat sad but not unreasonable. Slightly worried how the lowered duration will affect building stacks for the next activation, another one I’ll have to play a bit with to get a feel for. As much as I love IJ and think it is strong, I still would probably have rated it as the least strong of the Zealot keystones overall, so kinda iffy on it getting targeted for a nerf. Also curious where feedback that IJ is too strong came from. Don’t think I’ve once seen that sentiment shared :man_shrugging:

Buffing stun grenade. Insane stuff.

Honestly cool and warranted change. Probably not enough to make left branch attractive though. Crits as a proc condition is just insane for consistency and uptime, should probably be baked into the skill and replace fury rising with something else. I don’t see a scenario where you don’t take right branch while it’s there.

Yeah a mix of good, very questionable, bizarre, and redundant, but overall positive, just a bit underwhelming with no weapon/blessing balancing to accompany it.

Clearly you feel mostly negative on them. Care to expand?

Eh, am I alone with suddenly shitty performance? I stutter through the Mourningstar with like 30-45fps, last time I played the game prior the event with the twins it was a nice and round stable 60fps in a damn hub. What happened?

Running the game with a rx6900xt, 16gb ram and a r7 3700x, everything up to date so far, when it comes to software
