Patch 1.11.1 - Hotfix patch notes

New gameplay issue with the latest patch:

With the melee activation to Pickpocket, many hive scums I notice are now rushing to the front and often picking up ammo as well. It’s making ammo a lot lesser for all other players who are used to hive scums never picking ammo. I think a more logical choice would be to limit the pickpocket to only close range activation (like the Desperado’s range), so the hive scum players don’t go around gobbling up everyone else’s ammo, but at the same time still have to risk themselves to successfully replenish ammo.

I think this talent is to knock horde off of you only. It’s just worded badly.

It’s another pay to win solution to problem Vet players had since the release, aka when you play certain sniping weapons you get constantly harrassed by hordes spawning in the back.

Except Hive Scum doesn’t need it, since he can just push enemies, rather than hide in backline.

If only this class had an aura that helps with this issue…

Psykers seldom use melee too, in fact the hive scum melee much more than an inferno staff Psyker. Hive scum as a very close ranged in-your-face specialist would be a good variation next to Psykers.

The main issue with the previous Pickpocket, is that it allows scums to just shoot enemies infinitely at a very far distance. It just doesn’t fit into its original design of in-your-face ranged specialist.

So a good way to balance Pickpocket, would actually be to just limit it to close range activation.

that aura sounds nice on paper, but in practice it replenishes peanuts, lol.

One thing is overpowered, so the other one should be overpowered too!

Can you go with your group and discuss your issue in a dedicated topic and not spam about this in the comments for the hotfix?

Well…no need to be so hostile in your replies. I saw someone talking about pickpocket here, so I just followed up.

Then you replied to me twice, so I also replied to you twice. And somehow you are now saying I’m “spamming”, just for replying to your 2 replies to me.

Thank you for including known isssues!

I would agree, but it’s not consistent with that logic either. Since it gently pushes all specialists types (except mutants) and both types of ragers.

If the intended effect is “to gently push hordes, maybe, depending if the servers are under summer or winter heat”, Then I think it’s a nothing node that could use severe buffs.

Except vet has an “extremely broken overpowered power creep 69 420 360” ability which makes vulture’s push look like a literal fart, which is called voice of command. Vulture’s push should be voice of command without gold.

I can’t push with my guns out, if I pull my melee, most of my talents mean nothing.

It’s almost like they designed the thing based on playstyles that have 90% uptime on ranged…

Push as in “run into them guns blazing”.

Oic. But vulture’s push, if worked as described, would be a goddamn good comfort node for when you are surrounded/during cooldown/sticky situations. it’s almost like they designed something fun and good, but then decided to aggresively tone it down and forgot to change the description.

Question is the Data Harvester penance suppose to only count when you are the one depositing the thing? It screams griefing to me. You got the thing put it down to fight and then your teammate yoinks it and gets progress?

It’s some price to be paid, but overall not that worthwhile considering (as in, the upgrade that adds pushing on ranged kills v elites/specials). Besides, HScum just got a <Vulture’s Mark push at home>, for melee hits against them; and that’s something that either ranged or melee builds can afford.

What can I say, I like my comfort nodes, and yes, I was gonna mention rampage scream node forgothenamesorry. And that scream is better than VP and consistent with other shout/push abilities (taunt, VoC, Venting shriek, chorus etc), as in it actually pushes stuff, including ogryns and mutants. And like you said, most people still consider (rampage scream) not worth it (heck why base classes have it for free but the paid “p2w” class has to “pay” for it?), so Vulture’s Push is desperately needing of a fix/buff/rework.

I would suggest making it push everything, except bubble shield bosses and final toll’d enemies, but give it a cooldown (like street tough) so you are not playing pseudo ogryn with insane CC for no reason.

Hey guys! Just a heads up, one change that was missed from the original patch notes is the following:

Changed unlock requirements to go from Grid Point Alpha to Beta from 3000 to 1500 Tech-Remnants

This means that unlocking the first node in the grid is much easier.

Which is an Indirect nerf to all other classes with ranged dependency, specially gunlugger, since if you have one on the team, it’s basically mandatory to either the team ping all ammo for the ogryn, or for the ogryn to do “tactical deaths” everytime he’s out.

No rock fix? It’s so over…

Seeing how fixing FSR framegen didn’t made it into the patch notes, is it because its such a small thing to mention or because it wasn’t fixed?
