Quickplay should put people in parties by default(same way they put people in game, but now everyone in lobby or joining on-going game is also in a party). You know, like how Vermintide2 puts the players back in host’s Keep by default. If there is no party in matchmaking, First player becomes “host” and party will be automatically formed based on his relevant party settings, with others quickplaying into this party based on their party preferences(or fill with random people if none are available).
Without such feature, it’s all worthless. Because I and probably everyone else absolutely will just quickplay, which makes party finder even less used and thus dead feature(just like how when fatshark made “see ally weapon/build” feature opt-in to protect the noobs, which made it unused/worthless).
Of course, that’s assuming it actually works and won’t break QP instead, which would kill the game even faster. (let’s face it, it’s fatshark)
So Havoc, a mode that requires party finder, is equally useless. I can’t be bothered to even play the damn thing because I know it will probably be dead within weeks if not days because of partyfinder.
That, and lv30 requirement is just bad. Auric absolutely needs at least +30 true levels. Level 30 is just the point at which people have access to the full skill tree, it means very little.
How to fix: implement aforementioned improved quickplay feature with partyfinder incorporated(I don’t know why havoc is released when partyfinder is such jank, for end of year bonus again?), without breaking matchmaking.
I came here hoping to find something about the quickplay option. It has become SO HARD to quickplay these days. The function needs to be adaptated to lower population.
Let’s say I have hit my lvl 30 and have maxed weapons and trinkets : I dont want to play anything under rank 4 difficulty.
→ So what I need to do is try my luck in rank 4 “normal”, then cancel before 10 seconds and try rank 4 “auric”, then rank 5 “normal”, then rank 5 “auric”, then the “normal” maelstrom mission if rank 4+, then the “auric” maelstrom mission. Rince and repeat until I can join a game. This is not good.
I want to be able to ask the game to make me join any rank 4+ game that if finds. Eventually add some priority options, but in the end I don’t want to have to click 20 times to eventually find a party. Oh and add a tick box “I don’t want to start alone kkthxbye”.
Anything to avoid making the game more like VT (Solo mode, bots that aren’t Generic McDefault the vet, choose your mission and difficulty, not a live service scam).
