Just some thoughts I had on Mortis Trials while I’m grinding out my penances.
1.) A timer in the Tab menu would be nice.
2.) On harder difficulties, enemies should get their own indulgences. Things like “Specialists have a chance to spawn as weaker monstrosities”, “Enemies have a chance to receive Nurgle’s Blessing” or even some Havoc modifiers (Although maybe have multiple pools for lower/higher difficulties)
Sedition: No Enemy Indulgences.
Uprising: 1 at wave 12.
Malice: 2 at 6 and 12.
Heresy: 3 at 6 9 and 12.
Damnation: 4 at 3, 6, 9 and 12.
3.) I am feeling the hurt of only having two maps. Might I recommend copying a few existing arenas wholesale? At least as the base? I personally would like a Mortis Trial based off the Aegis Station with the relic machine where the evac usually is, and the finale of Smelter Complex and Clandestine Gloriana with centralized relic machines. I know it’ll likely still take a ton of time to add all the objectives and spawn doors and gussy up the visuals, but any corners you can cut now would be appreciated. We need more maps, stat! Emperor, how I pray for a supply drop now more than ever.
I also have some notes on difficulty but I’ll save those for later since 1.) It’s already been talked about by other folks and 2.) I’m not 100% sure in my current conspiracy theory and need more data.
